hi kids, BASICALLY im a little bit stuck on what to do. i used to mesh for sims 3 so im not a beginner but sims 4 does seem quite different. im creating a dress so the mesh i exported out of s4s has two groups idk whether this affects my current result but yeah. i did all the weights and all that jazz i dont ghink i uv mapped correctly for two groups and this may be the problem i have. i also tried fixing it last night but it came up with the error that one group has a mesh and the other doesnt if anyone has any advice or tutorials that wont confuse me i would be soooo thankful lots of love a small british noodle

Hi simsoree! Welcome to the forum. Make sure you match cut number for each group of the mesh. I'll link 2 posts where Orangemittens explained why is it so important, 1 and 2. If it's not the case, please share your .package and .blend so someone can take a look into.

hi! It would help a lot if you could re-import the mesh and tell us what group is the one that is extra. I'm thinking that you didn't do the weight transfer correctly or you left the original sims 3 mesh group that might be messing it. The program tells you about vertex groups.. so that's on the bones, not the actual groups. But i might be totally wrong here, it's hard when you can't see the actual thing. If you'd like someone to take a look at it , please share the package and .blend file. You can check this post that details all the steps for clothes. Handy since it's straight foward and links all tuts. Also, you can read about cut numbers here: it's for accessories, but it's the same for clothes and objects.
