Hi so i'm working on a frankemesh and so far everything has work out fine but I have this one one group of vertices (from what I can tell) that won't stay together once in game. All other points stay together keeping the mesh closed and seamless but this one point won't stay closed. How do i fix this without removing doubles?

You could try merging the vertices (unless it's a separate group)

Press N to open the side bar, and reduce the view start to smallest number possible. then zoom in all the way to see if you can find the whole. Changing into solid view might make it easier to see.

So merging doesn't help because when I merge them together I get this shadow effect. I also tried check to see if there was a gap and there was none which I suspected as I used Magnet to make sure all vertices met. Here's a DL link if anyone wants to take a look at it. link

hi! I took a look at the mesh and first.. the "lock to cursor" was ticked on the side bar, which made it super hard to zoom in exactly where i needed.. so i suggest you ticking that off. As for the issue i moved the edge to see what was behind, and the cut of the dress is too closer to the edge of the jacket, so i believe that is what it might be happening and messing with the bones and what not. What i would do is move the edge a bit far from where the cut is. Change to edge selection and deselect "limit selection". Press L while hovering the dress to select it and press H to hide it. Go inside the mesh with the camera and follow this mini tutorial to select the edges you'd like to move. then use press G to move and X to lock into the x axe. You can use the arrows to move or your mouse. Just a bit i think it'd be okay. To unhide the dress, press alt + h

Okay so I didn't quite understand the tutorial you linked so I decided to restart from scratch and luckily everything worked out this time around
