hi! I've been trying to understand how phones are working since they updated the game with the new cases... but i'm failing miserably. I believe (with my little knowledge) that the textures are linked through tuning.. and they are composed by mixing the base texture that would be the screen and an overlay with the case. My ideal project would be to add an extra swatch so it doesn't replace anything... but if that isn't possible.. i would like to be able to choose a random swatch and replace mesh / textures that way.. Just like it was possible in the past. My priority would be to understand how things are linked and if anything can be done with that. any help is appreciated! -- Here's what you see when you clone the phone from debug. (i export some of the tunings to look at them) Download (simfileshare)And here are the textures on the deltabuild7

I did a little digging into this and as far as I can tell you will have to do several tuning overrides and create a few in order for it to show up correctly. More specifically at a minimum you will need to override the following tunings: 14965 = object_sim, 149289 = Phone_Color_States, and 149493 = prop_phone. You will then need to create a couple of new tunings for your color based off of one of the other colors in the list for example: 149379 = loot_Phone_White, and 149302 = phone_Color_White. There are probably other resources that I'm not aware of that will either need modification or creation to get this to work. But hey, if you're determined enough I'm sure that you can figure it out. EDIT: Almost forgot there is another tuning you will most likely have to create for your color. example: 149353 = buff_Phone_White

oh my god haha thanks! I'm half determined though :p. what I don't understand is how the textures are linked. is it like the tutorial anska did for buyable food? I'll be checking the tunings when I can, I'm currently at work. thanks for taking the time to look at it!
