I didn't know where to post this.
Hey Andrew,
I simply LOVE your pose player. As a story teller I use it constantly. I was wondering if you would consider adding a back button and/or having the poses show up in alphabetical order.
Thank you for creating an awesome mod and happy holidays!

andrewI was actually just thinking this myself the other day. A back button would save a lot of time and so would the alphabetical order.

I concur. And if the ability to get the option to select multiple poses again could come back. I remember there being a reason for that being gone though after one of the disastrous EA patches.

Hi everyone, I'll take a look at some of these ideas for the pose player soon. The selecting multiples was taken out after a patch because it was the only way to fix the issue that made it not scroll past 6 poses. I can try re-enabling it but if it still causes the scrolling bug, I'm not sure if I can make it work. By adding a Back button, do you mean that you would like it to return to the pose pack list if you click the wrong pack? I'm not sure if I can actually add a back button, but I may be able to have it show the pose pack list again if you click the x. And by alphabetical order, do you mean the pose packs themselves or the individual poses in the pack? The poses in the pack were designed with the intention that the creator would order them in Studio, but I can see a benefit to sorting the packs in the first list alphabetically. Happy holidays

Hey andrewYes the back button would be used in case you selected the wrong pack, and for the alphabetical order it would be nice to have the pose packs in alphabetical order. Happy Holidays too you too!

I have looked into these requests and have some mixed news.
Sorting pose packs by alphabetical order is tougher than it seems since the names of the pose packs are in the String Table resource. They are there because it makes it possible to translate a pose pack into other languages, but that also means that the pose player code cannot see the names of the pose packs, just the numbers that represent the name. Studio will need to be updated to include the pose pack name in plain text (rather than translatable) for sorting. What this means is that, if this idea works, it will only be able to sort new pose packs made after a Studio update that supports this change and ones that have been updated. The updating could be done as a batch fix in Studio and un-updated packs would still be usable (they just won't sort alphabetically).
The back button sounds like a good idea but I do not know if it can be implemented in a useful way. The only way that I can think of so far is to make the "X" button go back to the list of pose packs. It seemed like a good idea at first, but the only way that I can think of to make it do that will not keep the scrolled position. What this means is that if you have scrolled through a long list of pose packs to find a specific pack and then click on it, the "X" button wouldn't take you back to the one that you clicked on, but rather it could take you back to the top of the list of pose packs and you would have to scroll again to find your place. This seems like it would not be useful in the current unsorted state of pose packs, but maybe it would still be useful if they were in alphabetical order?
Queuing multiple poses from a single pack without the popups seems less likely. It was great while it worked, but I tried enabling it again and the result was the same: it broke scrolling completely so that any pack with more poses than will fit in the popup, won't scroll and you cannot get to any pose past 6 or so.
I wish I had better news, but I do think that at least alphabetical sorting of the packs may be possible. I will do some testing and if it goes well, the next Studio will start support for it with a pose pack update and a batch fix for existing pose packs.

The tests went well and I have all of my pose packs showing in alphabetical order. I'm going to go ahead and add this change/batch fix to the next version of Harmony and soon after, post a new version of the pose player.
I also made a change to the pose pack menu so that clicking the "X" button will go back to the main list of other pose packs. Now that the list is sorted, it may be useful even though it does not keep your place in the list.
I was also able to get multi-queuing working again, though in a slightly different way than the way it was done before. Now it immediately queues the pose that you click (before you clicked the ones you wanted and then clicked the checkbox when you were done), and reloads the list so you can choose another one. This also gets over the limitation of the previous version that had multi-queuing, in that it will allow you to choose the same pose more than once. One drawback is, like the back button, it does not keep your place so if there are many poses in the pack, you will have to scroll down to get back to where you were.

That's just fantastic! I missed the ability to choose multiple poses. I got an idea and don't know if anybody will agree with me on this but I just post it. A few months ago EA allowed us to see all pre-made outfits before changing the sim into new outfit. If there is the way to use that window for Pose Player? This way creators will be able to show bigger previews of the poses in pose pack. I am not sure if it's possible. I meant this window.
