I would like to separate the frames and mattresses from the beds already in game. I've followed a couple tutorials, but neither of them have worked correctly and I was wondering if someone could point me towards a different/better one, or help guide me through the process themselves.
Thank you in advance!

Hi thisnerdysim, if you explain where your project is running into issues that would make it easier to troubleshoot the problem you're having.

Hi thisnerdysim, if you explain where your project is running into issues that would make it easier to troubleshoot the problem you're having. I've tried a couple tutorials. The first I found on the Sims 4 Community. After following the step exactly, I get an error message from Blender and when I import the new mesh into S4S, the mattress is still there and the only thing actually missing is the floor shadow. Or sometimes the frame is missing instead of the mattress. The other tutorial I tried was on youtube (and actually made more sense). For this tutorial I also receive an error message: I even thought maybe there was an easier way to just delete the mattress, but that doesn't work either.

I am still not quite sure if I understand your problem properly. Do you in the end wish to have a useable mattress, a decorative bedframe or both but in separate files? I discussed making a functional, frameless mattress with someone in detail a little while back here in the help-section, maybe this helps you too.

The error message says your mesh lacks a UV map. Studio will only accept UV mapped meshes because the game requires that in order for the item to show up and function properly. If that isn't enough help to get you started on fixing this, post your .blend so someone can help more.

The main goal is to take the beds in game and separate the frames and mattresses so I can mix-and-match. So, yes, a usable mattress and a frame without a footprint. I've been attempting he frames first, which is what is giving me issues at current! However, when I make my way to mattresses I will definitely give that a look! Thank you!

Hello there! A friend and I went a little nuts this morning trying to figure out what was going on and we finally did! The issue I was having is that I was simply deleting the part of the mesh that I no longer wanted. Turns out the two tutorials I was following neglected to mention that that isn't sufficient! The mesh for the mattress needed to be taken down to one plane and hidden inside the frame! (we followed this tutorial)! Thank you for trying to help!

I'm glad you have things sorted out now and that the tutorial was helpful.
