Hi! This is my first attempt at a conversion, and I am having some trouble. I am attempting to convert a glass vase of flowers from the Sims 3 to the Sims 4. This is what the vase looks like in the Sims 3: And here is what I ended up with (pictures of what it looks like in the studio and in game): I can't figure out why the glass is not showing up correctly and I would greatly appreciate if someone would be able to help me! I used this thread as a reference for converting an object with glass, and used the scroll mesh as recommended in the thread because the vase mesh had the same amount of groups, but it didn't seem to turn out right. I am also attaching the package and blend files in case anyone wants to take a look at them. Thank you!

hi! You have to clone an EA item that has already glass on it's mesh. That's the easiest way. You can try the decorative 3 candles (check that it's the deco one, not the light). Export its mesh and you'll see how the glass is on a different group with its own texture.

Thank you for the help inabadromance! It seems to be that the scroll mesh I used only has one texture. Apparently I need a mesh with two textures: one for the flowers with an alpha, and one for the glass. The 3 candles you suggested didn't seem to have a glass texture. Do you know of any other objects that have a glass and regular texture with an alpha?

The writer career award typewriter has an alpha and a normal phong. No glass, true, but I almost always use it when needing a transparent layer. I comes with the bonus that its diffuse for the alpha-cut is so none specific, one can beautifully recycle it most of the time.
That aside, you don't necessarily need two diffuse images if you have two cuts. There are several objects which have two cuts - one normal, one alpha - share a diffuse - the Viney League Encased Scrolls come to mind. - You will just have to set up your diffuse for it. On your current blend, the UV-Map for the flowers and the vase are placed on top of each other, meaning that the same image is shown on the object. To use only one diffuse, you would have to remap your object. (Not saying that this is the best thing to do, just stating that it is feasible.)

Thanks to both of you for your help! I finally found the perfect object to use as the base for my conversion, which is the Minimalist Unplant. It has a glass group, and vase/branch part of the mesh includes an alpha. I was able to successfully convert the vase of flowers! Thanks again!
