I'm trying to edit the display name and description for custom readable books. I can't do it through the studio tab because each book in the package has different names and descriptions. I don't know how to add a new string table. I had followed the steps: (1.) go to warehouse tab (2.) hash generator (3.) add string table (4.) use hash gen to create instance & key (5.) save but when I go to tools>modding>copy string tables to all languages, the string table i created disappears. Then I try to look it up on string table lookup, it's not there. what am i doing wrong?
Update 10/12*** I figured it out. I should not try adding a new string table. All I needed to do was add new keys under the string table in the file.

Hi spikenet, you should not save things into the Sims 4 Studio folder. Instead, you should create a project folder on your Desktop or elsewhere on your computer and save your .package there.

I'm a bit confused, how do I change the game notifications such as, 'Sheril had her birthday' to 'Sheril had (changedtext) birthday'?

Oh my goodness! Yes yes, thank you! Gosh, this will make the game so much bearable for me! I'm planning on overriding all the food names to make them vegan, haha. It's tofu time for everyone! thanks! <3

Does anyone know what the problem is? I've just downloaded the Sims 4 Studio (with the installer), and when I ran the .exe, this error appeared. It doesn't make the whole program close, but I tried to use Tools > Extract Tuning and nothing happens. EDIT: It worked! Turns out I had a problem in my expansion packs, the last one did not load correctly. Now I fixed it and Sims 4 Studio is opening properly. Thank you!!

I did that on some objects, and it gave me a Script Call Failed. What kind of ojects?
If you did the name/description changes correct it should work.
Did you run the batch fixes for your objects? Are you using outdated mods or broken CC's?
As you see in my post above I just did the name change to some of my radio stations. Some string files have the same name, and I kinda struggled with those, but I eventually found the right one by testing each one in game.
You have to make sure to pick the correct one otherwise it can lead to fails and even LE's.
They were four doors. I changed the descriptions only. To tell the truth, I swapped the descriptions of the gender doors so that the King's Door can claim the "Any problem with that?" from the Queen's door, and so on. Batch Fixes obviously don't work on doors. From what I can tell in the tutorial, it changes the interaction texts in the game, such as changing "Have a quick meal" to "Have a snack" and so on. I followed the tutorial, and I dunno how it would result in the said error...
