(I look forward to the day where there is nothing left to learn about all this ) So I mashed together two hats, to make a new, fancy sun hat, but its textures "override" other things: It blackens out glasses, and earrings: And when the Sim wears a necklace, this somehow happens: Hopefully someone knows how to fix this, because I cannot imagine what it'd be! (Unless it's the placement of faces on a UV map in Blender AGAIN)

Haha, I'm so sorry, but yes. This is a problem with the UV map. Each CAS type item has its own place in a single composition image EA made for CAS. Most likely the Uv map of the hat is touching the parts assigned to the necklace, therefore the textures override. You can get a template and fix this in blender using it as a guide on were to place your images. HEREYou need to move the uv of the hat to a place where the doesn't conflict with the necklace area. And also, most likely fix the textures.

I'm surprised that if you mixed two hats, the uv of each of the parts fall outside from the hat part of the texture. If this is indeed what happens, it should happen with those base game hats too. If not, then maybe you moved the uv by mistake.

Mathcope Thank you!! This will be super useful for later meshes!!! :D inabadromance I... think that might have happened during my newbie tries to make it not affect the body-template... I will fix that right away then! Thank you both!
