Hi! I was just wondering if anyone knew how to make an alpha-textured item look more like something EA (maxis match) would make? Thank you!

If you're looking to do this for hair, there's a good tutorial here. If you want to make "alpha-textured" clothing look more MM then you're going to have to edit the texture by hand to make it more maxis-styled. There's no specific tutorial on this that I know of, but it's mainly just trial and error + personal preference. And to do this for build/buy items, you can make a bake and either grab textures from existing EA items, or use stylized textures you can find online. (You can also bake clothing meshes, but a lot of the fine details/shadows will have to be added in by hand.) I hope this helps!

Sorry for reviving an old topic.
I know I have read online that some creators do this by a combination of posterizing and adding varying blurs. Also many use a combination of Topaz Lab plugin effects like Simplify or Impression.
Hopefully more people will be able to help.
