Hi all, I need to do an angle TS4 furniture. I'll like a new 'ClosedPolygon' (6 points instead 4 points). I mean the new object 'ClosedPolygon' isn't a simple rectangle. I'll like to know if it's possible to add to an original object footprint / closedpolygon more points ? And if yes, there are located the datas which must be altered / added / modified... ? I've try to add some entries in X and Z in the Footprint resource --> Misc --> Areas or in Misc --> Areas --> LinkedAreaOffsets but no result. It seems that we can only add news footprints areas, but it seems not possible to add new points to an already existing Footprint Area. (That is fully possible with Sims3 / Sims 2 footprints) Thanks a lot for eventual answer and so long. [SOLVED]

Hi zano972, Which footprint are you trying to edit? If yours is using a Linked Footprint and you want to edit the points, you must unlink it by setting it's Linked Footprint key to 0. Then you should be able to add points to its polygons.

Hi andrew
First thank you for answer... Due my poor english I've added some pictures to illustrate what I mean ( and what I would like to get)...
I think I do what you said in your previous message:
Setting the object original Footprint TIG to a new TIG and adding 6 coordinates X, Z points...
Picture 01
Picture 02
Picture 03
Picture 04
Now, to see what I do, I must to open the resulting S4S package in a concurrent utility...
Picture 05
The result is really not I want do have ... I only wanted to add points to an existing rectangular footprint... Not adding new unusefull footprints !
Now are some pictures of what I really want to get fully working in game:
Picture 06
Picture 07
Picture 08
All Flags are correctly set for this king of object...
Picture 09
Now the object in game (with a new 6 points ClosedPolygon... I think I get this one by modifying an TS3 footprint with S4PE but I really dont remember because I've tried a lot of things about these TS4 footprints modifications... And S4PE / TSRW can't really corectly handle TS4 footprint. I think we must to do the job ourself...)
Picture 10
Picture 11
...Even the Flags (AllowIntersection, Footprint Type Flags) are correctly set, the new footprint doesn't work correctly with another objects...
Picture 12
Picture 13
But the object works fine with Sims... (Slots are correctly set)... And Sims can't walk through the new objects... It means the game knows the new 6 points ClosedPolygon !
Picture 14
Picture 15
Picture 16
Picture 17
Picture 18
So that's all... I think I'm missing a main technical information about TS4 footprints...
Thanks a lot for help and so long.

This is the linked footprint area and to use the footprint points you need that to be all 0's (if it isn't all 0's the game will ignore your points): Then you can go to the: 1. footprint areas (closed polygons), from there to 2. points, and 3. edit the individual footprint points.
