I really want to try creating a new skin-tone for my sims, so they look like a robot. but the only tutorials I can find involve simple(ish) patterns like leopard print. (then again I am new here so may have missed it if there is one) So I was wondering if their was anyway to create a skin-tone with detailed patterns and stuff so they can look like a robot or something. Any help is greatly appreciated. Something like this -> sims4downloads.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/189.jpg except being a robot instead of Avatar tiger stripes. (Image is NOT mine simply using it as an example)

The closest thing to a tutorial on this we have here is this one HERE. That tutorial is sort of a general tutorial that shows you how to add resources to a package.

A skin tone is a variation of skin color, a robot texture isn't a tone. What you want to do is to create your own skin overlay, which is basically a texture applied over the whole body. There is no difference between making a tattoo and making a skin overlay. If you have a tattoo tutorial, just use it to create your skin. Open Photoshop and start painting over the body map. Ideally custom textures shouldn't be painted with a 2D program, a good modder would paint directly with a 3D program.

IDK how to paint using a 3d program. I know Manga Studio 5 Supports Photoshop files and You can import 3D models into it but, I am not sure if that would work.

You can import 3D models into Photoshop, that would be easier.

I only have Photoshop 7.0 but I don't know if that version can import 3D models?
