Hi! The file you shared has no data transfer applied... Also, since you're not understanding very well the written instructions, how about a videotutorial? HERE Eliavah goes over the process you need to do for your garment to work in game.

Mathcope is right. The video at the bottom of the first post goes over the steps exactly as how it should be done. Much easier than reading it. That's how i learnt it. Also, the weight is wrong.. and you've used 2.78 for the transfer. I can tell right away by clicking on each vertice and the amount of bones each one has. Please, delete all bones and re do the weight transfer with the 2.70 version of blender like we've told you. You delete the bones by going into the vertex group box , click each bone and press the minus button to get rid of each one. Is that how you're deleting the bones?

Made some progress! Now I just have these issues: I did the transfer weights and set vertex in 2.70 after I correctly deleted the bones this time (thank you inabadromance) Went to 2.78 to transfer data and everything is fine except what ever this stuff is. Here is the current package and blender files Package - simfileshare.net/download/191444/Blender - simfileshare.net/download/191443/In studio, it looks fine...

Hi! Nice progress, you got the weights perfectly this time! These other issue is still with the uv_1. For some reason the uv_1 has not changed. Try doing the data transfer tutorial again. Follow the steps very carefully. You can also watch the video I linked before.

Is it possible to re-pose the arms downward, fix this vertex issue and put them back? Oh, and I've tried erasing the area on the texture image where the artifacts pop up and they're still there.

Are you referring to the inner part of the arms? The data transfer isn't 100% the same as the game's original meshes, it's not perfect. You need to open another top or anything you have at hand that is from EA and compare both uv_1. You can select the part it's giving you issues in edit mode, so that you can see only that part of the uv_1. You'll notice that the arm pits are a bit distorted you'll have to manually move each vertice in the uv_1 to make it more round and shape it better.

Well after fiddling with the uvs for awhile, I thought I'd try the shortcut method and I'm ok up til a certain point, then I don't understand what's going on. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this:
Append Nude Top and Bottom Join Nude Top and Bottom Remove Doubles .................... And then I see the data transfer...which still comes out with a cruddy looking uv_1 They have the mesh joined? already and delete the verts from the nude top and bottom...
I keep getting confused because I go step by step like the video until the end part, which is a little confusing because they created their clothes in the extra space instead of on the model. When I delete the verts from the nude top and bottom the uv_1 deletes too. What am I missing?

I'm sorry i do not understand what you're trying to do. Why are you appending things when you need to fix the uv_1 on your dress? I don't see how those two things are related. I told you to compare, not to append.

In the tutorial linked, she transfers the data to get the cleaner version of uv_1. The tutorial ends with a 'shortcut' or 'cheat' of how she gets a better uv from the nude top and bottom. My problem is that it's so messed up I'm having to untangle it... even though it's better than the one I had from the data transfer off the uv dress. That's why (I think) I'm having deforming problems with the dress. I know I probably don't have to untangle the whole thing but the armpits are at the wrists so i know I need to at least do those. I've been following uv templates and it's working, but it's taking a long time. My question was is there any quicker or better way to get a cleaner uv_1? I know you can copy uv maps but it only works for uv_0, I haven't gotten it to work with uv_1. I'm sure after I untangle these the dress will be fine, I just wanted to know if anyone had any knowledge on how to do it better/cleaner/faster.

Ok so I fixed uv_1, but there are four minor areas I'd like to fix if possible. There's two shadow/shine areas here and here and two deformities here and here When the breasts are at max size, they do a little L shape Everything else seems like it's working great! I really appreciate the help, any suggestions on how to fix these?
