can you explain the steps you followed to cut the dress? have you appended a nude part to replace the empty parts you're left with when removing the rest of the dress?

Ive appended a nude top. First I deleted the bottom part that I wanted, appended a nude top from a rig to fill the bally and deleted the parts that wasnt needed then i merged all together.

The problem you're having is that the mesh is mapped differently than any other top. Probably because this one was never intended to be a standalone item so they took the liberty of grabbing more space. ![](http://i.imgur.com/dngLJnz.png?2) ![](http://i.imgur.com/IzFj7pA.png?1) As you can see on both pictures, the bottom overlaps with the top. You'll have to edit the UV by making the length shorter and edit each texture individually.
