First of all, i'm very sorry if i'm doing it wrong, i'm new in this whole "not a lurker" thing on the forum. As a matter of fact, i'm new to the studio. Actually i'm a total n00b. Also, forgive my atroscious english. Hi, everyone! Be kind to me. ^^
The thing is: my obsession in TS4 is to play as the reaper. Not just a cosplay reaper; i want to be THE Reaper, with capital R. I want my character to go there and harvest souls whenever a sims dies. Not just when i'm not controlling him, as is possible with a few cheats; i want him to drop whatever he's doing and go get the damn soul no matter wether i'm playing as him or not. In the vanilla game, if a death event occurs and the reaper is currenly being controlled by the player, the game will generate a random reaper npc to harvest the soul - and unfortunately, you loose the position (defined by trait_IsGrimReaper); the game only recognizes ONE character with the trait, and sadly only the last one to have it, even if you keep the fx, walking style, and voice effect (defined by trait_GrimReaper). If you're controlling sims from other lot, however, you character will spawn and perform the reaping normally and keep the job.
I'm perfectly aware that anything Reaper-related in the game is very sensitive. I've been partially sucessfull in achieving that via tuning files, but he lost the ability to have autonomous interactions (since i've turned the buff_GrimReaper_Role on by default whenever a character has the IsGrimReaper trait and i'm not sure how to go around allowing him autonomy while keeping the reaping behaviour as intended). There's also the small trouble of stopping the game from generating the stupid random reaper - The only workaround i managed to think of was to avoid reaper generation at all, which comes with its own pack of problems. I also turned on all romance interactions for him, which works just fine, and i'm a bit stuck in making the soul reaper career avaliable as a player selectable career with proper info showing up on the sim panel - that's where the bugs start fo real. If anyone would be so kind as to take a look at the file and tell me what i'm doing wrong the most (i'm assuming that everything is done wrong of course)?
About the acessory part, which hopefully is the easy part, i just want to make his scythe into a equipable acessory (like this) but i don't have the slightest. Since he equips the scythe in his hand whenever he reaps a soul and use it, i assume the object is somewhere out there in the game files, already weighted and rigged, ready to be made into a ring or bracelet or whatever and be used - the problem is how to find and how to go around actually making it into the damn acessory. I'm pretty certain it's easy-peasy, but it eludes my poor expertise, and i really could use some help, it would be much appreciated - even if no one can help me with the first topic, i'd be insanely happy if someone pointed me to the right direction in this. Thanks in advance!
