Is the original item sitting at the origin in Blender (the place where the x, y, and z lines meet)?

Whenever I am doing the LOD1&2 I keep the (shadow) in those, but take them out of the Shadow LOD1&2? Just like the LOD0 & Shadow LOD 0?

sweetsorrowsims Yes. The LODS 1 and 2 also have the shadow plane, and it should be the same cut number that the LOD 0 has, so the only thing you have to do is decimate the mesh. And leave the plane just the same as the LOD 0. When making the shadow lods the shadow plane always needs to go away. That is the same for LODS 0, 1, and 2.

I understand that Mathcope, but do I delete the shadow plane in the LOD0,1 & 2 ?

Hi Ansett4Sims, creating a light object is beyond the scope of this tutorial. Please open a thread in the Creator Help section on this topic. Including pictures of what you're trying to accomplish would be very helpful so that people can give advice about your project

I have three themes at the moment for dollhouses in my game. Boy themed dollhouses cloned to the castle featuring "Leaf" the MySims doll as the default doll, Gender neutral (nature) themed dollhouses cloned to the hospital, featuring the ATS4 twig dolls, and the victorian dollhouse for girls. I would really like to also have an Asian themed series featuring the soldier from the TS3 Terracotta Army. Is it possible to add a totally independent dollhouse to the game? Do you know of any tutorials to help with that?

If they work how I think they work you should be able to make a tuning mod for something like this but that's about all I can say because I've never looked at the item to create an independent custom item like it.

what should i do if the ea object has more meshes/shadows than my object? for example there are two shadow planes/maps (cut 0 and 1 respectively) and the actual mesh is cut 2. but my object has only one shadow (cut 0) and one mesh (cut 1). what do i do? i'm trying to turn an end table into a functioning dining table (it has the same height as a dining table so it should work) so i figured the easiest way would be to import the mesh and textures into an already existing ea dining table of the same shape.

I wrote a tutorial that's posted HERE that shows how to deal with an extra shadow group. Scroll past the first example in the tutorial to get to the second. The second example goes over this issue

Hi folks! I try to import an object into sims 4 studio, but nothing happens. I work with 3ds max, i import my fbx itno blender, rescale it... i save it, but after "import mesh" nothing happens. I follow all the steps in the tutorial ( exept the blender steps), but nothing. If i modify the original mesh in belnder, and i resave it, happens the same. Nothing. Any ideas?

podyssey You need to match the "Cut numbers" of the original mesh you cloned from EA. In your 4 picture, in the right column, you see a subtitle that stands for "S4Studio CAS Tools" there you find and an empty space to put the cut number value. What you need to is look at the cut number of the EA item you cloned. For example, this item should have 3 cut numbers since it has 3 different groups. You can see that in the 6 picture. "Dropshadow, Phong and Phong alpha" The cut number is what tells Studio where to import each of them. If your item doesn't have transparency, i'd recommend cloning another thing since here there's a group you won't use (phong alpha), and it always needs to be filled. After you look at the cut numbers of the original EA mesh, you need to copy those numbers and assign it to your object. This whole process is showed in the tutorial, so I'd recommend you read the blender parts too.
