Hi, guys! So, this is my first mesh and I'm pretty proud of it. (even though it's not completely done yet) Although, I am having some problems making some parts of it. As this is my first mesh, I am very new to blender and I have no idea how to fix this. Any help is appreciated! (For some odd reason you must click the "picture" and "Open image in new tab" for it to work)

I'm new to blender myself, so I'm guessing there's a hole because there are vertices that are near each other but not actually merged together. In edit mode, select both vertices that are near one another (maybe on top of each other) and alt+m and merge at center. I'd guess you need to do this at the top of the hole and the bottom.
Hope that helps. If you upload the .blend file I could check for sure.

Link isn't working for me. And don't worry about how it looks. My wips are hideous messes.

The problem is you have vertices on each side of the gap that are not joined. You need to join them so that the back surface is solid. There are several ways you can go about fixing this. I recommend checking out a few Blender tutorials on the topic.

Thank you guys so much! I looked up some tutorials and with that info combined with sometimeshere's tip I was able to create my mesh! Although I had to restart because I didn't know where to start fixing my old one, the new one looks wayyyyy better.
