How to make Animated Wallpapers - Part 2
A lot of people asked me if I could make a tutorial about how to make the Animated Wallpapers, So here it is! Besides showing you how to make these kind of wallpapers, these will also be Base Game Compatible! As this tutorial is one of the longest I ever made, I splitted into 2 parts. This is the second part and to watch the first part you can click HERE
If you got any questions about it, please ask them here in this topic or in the comment section on Youtube. I got a lot more tutorials on my youtube channel and there're going to be many more. So if you don't want to miss them, please subscribe!
If you want to have an overview of all The Sims 4 Tutorials I made on my Youtube Channel, please take a look at my BakieGaming Video Index here on the Forum. You will find links to all tutorials here on the forum and links to all tutorials that aren't on this forum in there.

nvm! i figured it out i forgot to change the instance for the second image.
is there a way to make the background black?
ok. Here is my finished result after your tutorial and implying some basic changes like scroll speed and image. I guess the background is already kinda black when it is in an unlit area. If one of the images is a solid image instead of a transparent one, for example the leaves in this video it were a light blue like a sky and i set the scrolling to 0 on both image and height . can then the red symbol layer be clouds that move sideways? does that make sense imma try it but im just wondering if the practicality of it is right.
so in this next vid i have both animated walls side by side to show they have the same horizonatal value . for some reason it still seems the red leaf symbol is slower but its prolly a trick of the eye. id like the clouds to be a little slower but its already at -1 and 0 would make it still wouldn't it? other wise if i have to keep it this speed thats ok but the cloud color is my other issue the image of the clouds has a gold outline around the clouds that isnt showing up on the wallpaper when its lumanited. is there a way i can fix it so the color detail of that layer is visible.

Hi sammoyke, Those are already some nice looking wallpapers! As for the speed problem, I think if you would make the UV-scale a bit bigger, like I did with my fish at the end, they will go a bit slower. But as this will enlarge your clouds, you'll have to make them a lot smaller too I think. My fish are also moving a bit slower then your clouds after the scaling. I don't know how to change the golden outline, as I don't know which colors will work on which backgrounds. You will just have to try that out for yourself I think.

Hey Bakie, Awesome tutorial and I really learned a lot. Very good instructions it was really easy for me to duplicate so that was cool I went into experimenting with different backgrounds and images and things and was wondering if there was a way to make the animated image that moves along the wallpaper not so opaque? First I tried using a solid black background but for some reason the animation never show so I had to go with a really really dark grey, but the animated image still looked like it was at 75% opacity or something. I played around with some settings on the Sims4Studio but no avail. Still this is an awesome tutorial, I really enjoyed it and got super excited haha. Any tips you might know would be super appreciated. Cheers and have a great day

Hi! Thank you very much for the kind words! I'm glad my tutorial helped you that much. As for the transparency issue, I have no idea how to solve that unfortunately. I did a lot of tests myself too just like you did, but nothing changed. :( It's really ashame we can't find a solution for that, as even more awesome things could be made if the lightoverlays were solid instead of opaque. Of course you're free to keep experimenting and if you find a solution to share it in the comment section on Youtube and here in this topic. But for now I can't help you with that problem, I'm sorry. Have a great day yourself too! Hey Bakie, Awesome tutorial and I really learned a lot. Hey Bakie This tutorial is really fantastic and I really appreciate the hard work you put into them. By the way I've been meaning to combine this method with your mural wallpaper tutorial, in which I'm currently working on. So fingers crossed I achieve the look I want haha...
I was wondering if there is a way to use this method, but instead of the wall wallpaper, with the cas background? I've been tempting it, but all the warehouse settings aren't the same. Any advise will be greatly appreciated if you have any.
Hope you are having a spendid day
