I do not know how to line up the emission/normal map in order to effect the head. I have no issues with the emission map/normal when it comes to below the neck. Everything above the neck on the sims 4 body map, does not show up. I have tried making an emission map that was the full body 2048x4096 (i make hd content normal map is 1024x2048), it didn't show up. I tried 2048x2048 (the emission map for a hat is 1024x1024), with no results. I have no idea what to do on how to get the emission map to show up on the head. It works with no problems for the lower body. My guess is that I have to get the file to recognize it or I have to make it a specific size in order for the .package to read, but I have no idea what size I need it as. have you tried cloning and exporting the head piece from get together? the club one that djs use. I think that one has emission. usually it's 1024x512.

Im happy to help! Downloaded your package and it looks like your emission has no alpha! It needs one, after you add it and make the parts that you want seen visible, it should work perfectly! If there are other issues, we'll work through them together. show me a pic when youve got it, this is really cool, and we'd love to see it in the creator studio.

When I save the file, it is completely black. When I load the emission file into the .package there is an alpha when I save. When I export it, the alpha disappears. This happens as well with the body but the glowing works.

I think it has to do with size or there might be an issue with s4s to read it. I am still trying it ^^ just got to find that magic number.

I recently tried to do CAS accessory with emission, and it works with an emission map of 1024*2048 px. And i just cheked, my alpha channel is still here when I export it form the package, I think you might have a problem here. Are you using photoshop to make your dds file ?

m still working on it too, I've managed to make a bit of progress using the DJ helmet from the get together EP. I've actually gotten some glow to show up, even though its in all wacky places. I did make this however, maybe we can both get some use out of it trying to figure this thing out. just save the image. Since the emissions coordinates are still all unpredictable, i thought having some different color numbers in place would help us figure things out.

im making progress! So I made another template, and it's starting to come together now. as you can see i drew a series of lines and colors, see where the green line is? The place that should glow seems like its just above that.. almost at the very tippy top of the image. I have no idea why its mapped like this, but we work with what we have right? lol on skype with my bf, hes in the screen. lol. Im still working on it, but I think we're so close! so then i did this. and then this happened. its pulsing on and off, did you want it to do that? but we know we are on the right track, and we're getting a better idea of what goes where. Going back into photoshop for more testing. so now i added a line of purple numbers to the are we know shows up. and im game, it seems the only color that shows up properly is green, so i changed the colors of the numbers to green, and put it on a black background OK... good news and bad news.. We have found the coordinates! Right under the number 8! seems this is where we need it to glow. Now I have like 3 8s on this canvas, so i just need to figure which one it is. BRB testing ok so best I can tell the uv layout is somewhere along the large line of 8s that i made. As of 6am this morning, still working on it. At this point im wonering if the whole thing needs to be remapped, i could try moving your textures to a different place, because right now you have it mapped like hair, and not a hat, so i think im going to try that next..

okay, making a new post! 1. I remade your UV map. just moved some stuff around, and changed the textures to accommodate that. This has brought me A LOT closer to finding the coordinates for this darn thing! lol, but seriously.. This is what it looks like now. So then i was just down to these areas. I noticed that green edge there, this is exactly why I use so many colors! then i found it! I went a bit over, because i g part of the back of the helmet, other than that, just need to clean it up!! All it needs now is some minor scaling, so it doesn't show through on the back of the head, and the edge from underneath the back of the helmet pops out a bit. Did a bit more editing, I think this is as far as I can take you. The texture might need a bit of work around the edges. Now that it is in the right place, I'm sure you got this! Now you also have a resource of information for future issues, and if you come across anything new, we can handle it! That's what our community is for. I know you got it from here. Here's the package, for anything else you need to work on with it. I'm glad I could help, I also learned a lot in this process. www.dropbox.com/s/nqxq6qkldw4bam0/Genji_Glowing_Head_HD2.package?dl=0In game, It looks like you have some polys that might be overlapping there see the clipping in the corners? Easily fixable. here's what the texture looks like now. Let me know when you upload! I want this when it's finished!
