I've never tried it, but have you tried moving the b__ROOT__ part of the rig? I think the menus all come from the root (center).

All bones of the mesh depend on the B__ROOT bone (including the transform bone).

OM thank you!!!! when I changed the fx and transform bone slots the popcorn popper started to jump up and down (when choosing to make popcorn). So basically all I had to really B__ROOT bone position change (I was truly over thinking this is the thank you for explaining that to me! Ow happy day one more thing fixed!!!

Here's a really stupid question, so how do I move the menu to the middle of an object using the B__ROOT bone? All the positions on the one I'm looking at are 0. I'm wondering what will happen if I go into blender and move the z up to the middle (to find the right numbers) and then change it in S4S if all the mesh bones depend on this bone?
I have wanted to move the menus (usually down so I can see them) on so many objects I would be ecstatic to know the answer to this.

Just change the "0" to a new position

True so here's another one. Did the above and all the med slots jumped up and down as they have the B_ROOT bone as their parent. Oddly the small ones don't. I could cure that by giving the slots 'no parent'. So if I move the B_ROOT bone down will its simply lower the menu? This is a shelf and like a lot of tall things (trees, bookcase, fireplaces etc) the menu is in the clouds, all i want is to be able to change the colour with a simple click rather than zooming back 3 miles to do so. My concern is if this bone controls the entire unit and the FX then surely they will all move unless I remove the B_ROOT bone as their parent. And will this cause the interactions, such as 'upgrade', light fire, put plate on even if the sink is closer; to stop working? I know I'm having a special kind of stupid moment here, sorry 8-|

Not really a moment. Since I never did this I truly don't know, but from what jpcope said, it sounds like moving the root "down" and moving the transforms etc "up" was what he did. Maybe I am wrong.

freeasabird When I changed the root the slots connected to it move in relativity to the root, so if the root z attribute is 0 and the deco slot, chair slot, and or fx slot is at 1, then when raise the root z attribute to 1 the other slots raise to 2 but their z attribute registers as 1 because for them the root is the center of their universe . I hope this helps I had trouble trying to put this in words.
