The counters have to made from the original counters, even then Ive never messed with the top mesh, only ever changed the bottom.

So making custom counters will not work with sinks? I made a counter(s) and cloned it from the maxis counter (on the left) but this is what the sink looks like on mine. Is there a way to make a proper cutout?

How to fix CC sink mask
Go to Warehouse and select the mask image Click the Data tab above the image Change the Group to 00000000 and COPY the Instance Select the CoutoutInfoTable Resource Paste the Instance copied in step 3 into the BaseFileNameHash field Save and test

The counter is cc and it is a maxis sink. I think the issue here is that the counter top is not mapped correctly. I did some digging into the UV for the counters and every top that I looked at the surface was mapped in the same place. Take a look at the images below. (Click to see larger)

Thanks Brujah! That's good to know. I haven't attempted this yet because I've read other people having problems but I'll remember this when I do try to make a new counter top and see if that helps.

After further testing I have concluded that my previous response is incorrect. The sinks in the screenshots by BrazenLotus and 13pumpkin MUST be CC, since ALL sinks created without the fix posted by MisterS will not cut out the counter. See screenshots below. (Click to see larger)

Yep I just tried an EA sink and it still doesn't work. I guess I'll just have to make a sink separate from counter set because I don't want to go back and re-work all my counters.

Photobucket has removed their support of 3rd party hosting images without an account upgrade. That being said, I could not see the image.

Do you mind sharing the counter .package so someone can look into it? My screenshot is of a plain cube as the counter top unwrapped in blender.

I imported my test UV map mesh into your .package and guess what... the counter top got cut out. This leads me to believe that the surface of the counter must be a flat plane for it to work. Try that and see if there is any difference.
