Hi! I was just wondering if anyone could "teach" me how to make a hair accessory override? Basically, this is the hair I'm using and there's actually a green clip, but I want to make it black or white, but have it as an accessory, not a recolor. Here's an example of what I'm talking about. Thank you! <3

I've seen it done where the creator makes a mesh that is just the hair accessory, so in your case just the clip, and then makes that into a new accessory. The creator in the example you linked has done that, only they've simplified the mesh to just one face and hidden it in the head (which I'd argue is the better way to go about this; way fewer polys), and then recolored the texture of that item where the accessory is on the hair mesh. I would suggest looking at how their .package is constructed and also looking at an accessory tutorial like this one to get started.
