I just wanted to take time out of my so far 2 day long task to say thank you to all creators who are too lazy to properly mark the colors of your c/c content. I've spent a long 2 days so far properly marking your c/c and so far in 2 days i've only done accessories, and still havent finished that type. I still have clothes, hair, makeup and whatever else to go. dont mean to sound unappreciative, but when you create a piece of content, it can take you 5 extra minutes to tag each swatch with the appropriate colors, others it might take 10 seconds depending on how many swatches you used. but because you didnt, and so far from what i color tagged i'd say 96% of it isnt, i now have a life long process of properly colortagging what you didnt. will i ever get to play the sims 4 again? i'm really starting to wonder, cause at the rate i'm going, i'm starting to feel like a non stop month wont even complete the task. it's pretty sad. please go thru your c/c when your creating, tag a color(s) for each swatch, it's not that hard when your only tagging 1 product. compared to us users who who have 1000s of pieces of content to go thru. sims 4 is programmed to match color items with each other when it creates sims, by you not tagging your content most of our generated sims end up looking like poo, so thank you for thinking we were too stupid to notice that you took a shortcut. To the 2, 4 , maybe 5% of you who do color tag all your swatches, thank you so much for doing the job that most creators just wont do, your extra effort is greatly appreciated. if only you werent so hard to find. I'm not trying to be an esteemed friend, but those who have done this before, i'm sure have felt the same way. here is an example of what i'm talking about, and to the creator of this item, i'm not trying to single you out, this just happens to be the item on currently on. this swatch correctly tagged should actually look like this. In the future please do your fans a favor and correctly color tag your items. Thank You!

oh... one more thing.... due to the sims 4 color pallet being very generic / basic some colors are hard to even classify. is it blue? is it green? it's so close to the middle i cant decide. in such case you could say well its a blue, green mix so tag it colors blue & green. like picture above, the nails are kind of red, yet also close to a pink. which is why i tagged it both. Thanks again.

Creators spend hours on meshes, textures and testing, and some thing may slip out of their mind. You are complaining that you spend 2 days on doing "5 minute job" on tagging. Imagine a process of loading your game 30+ times to fix one damn spot that doesn't look good in the game when sim moves, and going back in Blender or photoshop. This is time consuming and labor intense work, not tagging which can slip out of mind if creator was busy fixing something big.

Hahaha! I Love it when someone SpeaKS from the Heart, Kudos to misfit203! You know what's WORSE, misfit203? As for myself, in the Past, being Lazy and slapping in Blank Alphas and/or Deleting Speculars..one Day, a Whacky Update COMPLETELY DESTROYED my Sanity. Learned a Lesson, a very Painful Lesson. °One thing to Note, however....after doing things, "The Right way", i have noticed after SPECIFICALLY TICKING the NOT FOR RANDOM wear on some Accessories, on my Old(2nd Deleted.)Studio...another EA Update came along and like MAGIC, PURE BLISSFUL ORIGIN MAGIC! The Files changed to RANDOM WEAR....it was Amazing, like Drinking a Stale Beer, left Open for 2 Days. On a Sidenote, Yes - Sometimes, People get so Excited about releasing things - "To be the First", these issues occur...probably, More often than not. It's not that most People are Lazy...it's that most People have that, "To be the First!", in their Heads and Color Tickmarks are not FIRST...who cares? Kind of an Apathy Mental. You have a Right to Voice your Frustration! Thank You for reminding Everyone about Color Tickmarks! Rock On!

dont mean to sound unappreciative [..] I'm not trying to be an esteemed friend Well you are nonetheless succeeding on both those points. You are basically spitting in the face of every CC creator who did not tag the colors of their swatches. Which is easily 95% of the whole community, because people don't really care about those tags as nobody ever thinks that someone would even use the: "in game filter". Now I get it you were probably quite pissed at the time you wrote this if you spent 2 days on it so far. But this is still YOUR project, nobody is forcing you to do this and like I said you are probably one of the only people even using the color tags to search for CC in the game. Yes it would not take soo long for the creators to add the proper tag, but we have more important things on our mind when creating CCs because believe it or not, it is often problems after another to fix like Feyona mentioned) I don't even really get why you are doing this after realising how long it will take you to fix all the tags. It is so much work. It will take you less time to just fix the sims in your game you think "look like poo" instead. You have absolutely no guaranty that suddenly all the sims created in your game will have lovely colors matches.. Maybe you should disable CC, test the quality of the algorythm aaaaand stop torturing yourself -_-

My apologies for my highly pissed off and frustrated comment yesterday. out of all the accessories i fixed for the past 2 days, 2 were color tagged. it is severely frustrating. I just wish people would use it, it's not that hard. aside from random sim outfits, when searching CAS for a specific green top that doesnt show up til you search pink, it just makes no sense really.
I understand it's alot of work, but it's not a 5 hour long project to click a few swatches and change colors boxes on one piece of content. really sucks to hear i'm the only person in the world who wants to see better looking sims in my game that arent by my design.
To all cc creators i do thank you for the work you do, i appreciate all the extra content, just wish you would spend just a little bit more time to do it right. again i apologize.
Big shout to the following creators who use color-tag on their swatches, your extra effort is appreciated. Thank You!

Well, everyone gets frustrated at times, so no worries. One method of avoiding an hours-long task like what you just went through would be to tag items at the time you download them, then it wouldn't be such an enormous task to tag your stuff. The amount of time it takes you to tag any given item is no longer than the time it would take the creator to tag it. It's just more painful if you tag everything all at once instead of item-by-item. One thing to consider is that many creators use their hobby time to create things rather than to play the game. People who don't play the game much probably don't use the tagging system so they aren't especially concerned with tags. It isn't that most creators are lazy, it's probably more that they don't really think about tags very much. If tags are important to someone, it isn't difficult for them to add the tags they want. Then too, tags are a sort of personalizing feature. Studio includes the My CC tagging feature to make it easy for people to tag the content they download how they want it so it works with how they play their game

I delete swatches that I don't like, therefore won't use in the game, remove "allowed for random", change composition method for 10 swatches for 18 lipsticks and shadows etc. But amount of time that I spend on doing this is no near the time that I spend on making a mesh from scratch, uv and drawing textures, along with testing.

I'm a creator and most times I do tag my stuff. I have to say most because I'll be willing to bet I have forgotten at times. Its isnt always easy either when you are constantly changing something to make it as close to perfect as possible. Sounds like a 5 minute job but when its 4.30am and you have finally got the damn thing right tags somehow slip the mind occasionally. I actually color pick from photoshop to copy number to the tag editor in S4S and it never looks right to me, because the human eye can see subtle differences the machine can't. I'll see if I can sit up til 5am to make sure the tags are in from now on.
