Hey, I have a question I really hope someone knows the answer to.
I am trying to make a social interaction that involves buying something from a specific NPC.
I added the items that will be bought in the basic extras as create_object and made it appear in the Actors inventory, this isn't a problem at all, the problem arises when I try to figure out how to deduct money from the Actor that buys the items. So far I have tried adding an action loot to the loot list in the social interaction. This is the code I tried using:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?> <I c="LootActions" i="action" m="interactions.utils.loot" n="loose_1500_money_basemental" s="524269935108853530"> <L n="loot_actions"> <V t="money_loot"> <U n="money_loot"> <V t="literal" n="amount"> <U n="literal"> <T n="value">-1500</T> </U> </V> <E n="subject">Actor</E> </U> </V> </L> </I>
If I take away the "-" in front of the money value, the money is gained to the Actor. I also tried changing the subject to Target to see if that worked, but that still doesn't deduct 1500 Simoleons from the Actor. Does anyone know if there is another way to sort this out?
Would be extremely grateful for some help on this issue.

There is this in the basic_extras of the computer_adoption_picker:
<V t="payment"> <U n="payment"> <T n="display_only">True</T> <V t="amount" n="payment_cost"> <U n="amount"> <T n="amount">1000</T> </U> </V> </U> </V>

Thanks Andrew. It did not do the trick completely though, unfortunately. It only displayed the amount that it was supposed to cost in the social interaction, but did not deduct the money.

Did you try changing the <T n="display_only">True</T> to <T n="display_only">False</T>?

My bad, it worked like a charm after I changed the display only from True to False. Thanks a million!
