Hello,
i was searching for a fish tank and have discovered the four Fish Tanks from freeasabird. I have downloaded all and tested the Cube Tank (basegame) , but if i will place the tank, i become the message "scripterror". I have this Problem with all of the four tanks. Sorry if my problem is in the wrong thread or something, i´m new here.

Hi Pandemonium. I'm not sure what the problem might be. A script error is not something I am good with. All the tanks work in my game. The cube is as you say, Base Game, all the others are cloned from the Spar Day Tank. You have to have the pack for it to show but I'm guessing that's not the problem. I really have no idea why they are throwing errors. If I have a few script fails from downloads I usually let the Sims 4 folder re generate after saving all the things I need (Saves, Mods, Tray, config log etc). Sometimes that seems to clear it.The only other thing I can think of and I'm not sure it would throw a script error is if you have any other downloaded tanks, that may have been cloned from mine? Let me look around and see if I can find what might be the problem. Oh I don't have the toddlers or Vampire pack, not sure that makes any difference. Ok I've done some quick surfing and I think (not at all sure) think it may be the lights? I didn't give the tank lights a second thought after the lighting update and no one else has mentioned this. I'll have a look and see if I can find out if this is the problem. I'm very sorry these don't work for you and thanks for letting me know so I can try and put it right

Hi pandemonium, what game version do you have? If you aren't sure you can look in your Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/GameVersion.txt file to get the version number. I think this problem could be related to an issue with game version. I am fully patched through yesterday's patch and the fish tanks work for me. One thing to note is that often changes introduced in game patches are backward compatible but not forward compatible. What this means is that if you download an item made by someone with a patch that you do not have, that item sometimes will not work in your game. I recommend that people keep their game updated patch-wise for this reason.

Thanks OM I thought that late last night. I haven't patched my game yet I'm going too after doing this. I wondered if the new patch broke them but if they work for you then I'm clear on that one. Edit- I updated my game and tested every tank and they all work just fine.

YW Usually, with patch-related compatibility issues, the creator has a patch that is more current than the player who is getting a script-call failure. The player's solution is to update their game by getting the current patch. There isn't much the creator can do other than let the player know they need to update.
