Hi everyone! I'm LadyPenguin, I'm brand new to Sims 4! Well, Sims on PC, period. I've never had a computer well enough to play it on before now, and I'm loving it! It's like a whole new world! Anyway, back to my original question lol; I was searching around for CC and I see a lot of other people's sims that look so realistic & beautiful! As opposed to the original "cartoony" textures, I guess you could say. I'm wondering how I can accomplish this look on my own sim. If anyone can give me any recommendations on CC to download that may help me to achieve this, I will be most greatful! Below is an example of what I'm aiming for.
Happy Simming!

Hi LadyPenguin! RemusSiron (TSR) makes some awesome skins, makeup and custom eyes. I use them mostly on all my sims. For hairs, I love nightcrawler and stealthic, but there are others that I use but can't bring them up off the top of my mind. Also Kijiko makes 3D lashes that are the bomb and a must have! I have found that when creating my sims, it's all about the skin and texture of the skin, eyebrows, makeup and eyes along with the hair that gives them a more realistic look compared to the cartoony look.
Hope this helps and happy shopping and simming!

The sims like in the sample pic (mostly from TSR) are photoshopped, you are never going to achieve the same result, all you can do is get as close as possible.

i can tell that this sim has no photoshop at all. The skin is like that, which isn't necessarily my type. Just as any other piece of cc you have to look for each category until you find something that fits your needs. There's also many that do look books which include all the cc of the sim listed so it's easier to find those things you like.

Some do photoshop their pictures, but you can achieve that level of realism without editing too. Realistic cc & proper lightning (neutral white tone) do a lot. Have an example for an unedited preview pic : Link
