Help with Resizing the SpiderWeb meshes from Vampire Pack

I love the spider webs from the vamp pack. They just it easier to make rundown abandoned houses really look the part. Problem is,   [ ] dont work.  The footprint gets bigger, but the mesh stays the same. Why does this do that?  I mean, EVERYTHING sizes up, what is it that is preventing these few items to not get bigger or smaller?  How do I go about getting around it if its not something that can be "fixed"?
