i tried to follow Elia's UV_1 tutorial but everytime i click P to seperate the mesh from the body the entire thing disappears... im so confused

hi! I suggest you follow the video tutorial attached at the bottom of the tutorial instead of the written one. I find that more easy to follow.

i don't really understand what is it that you're doing or seeing. Do you mind sharing the blend file and showing pictures or writing the steps you're doing?

Do you mind sharing the blend file and showing pictures or writing the steps you're doing? like here i need to delete the body well thats what it says in the tutorial, but everytime i press delete the entire thing disappears like this i know its probably because the mesh is selected in the 3D window , but i can't unselect it because you have to have it selected to actually show the UV like

If you want to select fro the UV then you need to have SYNC on. Press A again to unselect and then select from the UV. I wouldn't recommend doing it this way, is better to select what you want from the 3D view.

The issue is that you have the whole mesh selected. ((look at the left window)) This is an easy fix. Step 1: Click the image of the 'box' Step 2: Everything will appear selected, click on any part of the mesh or press 'a' to unselect everything Step 3: Delete what you desire
