Not to worry...I made the same mistake and was just as confused. Once you do it you'll see that it's easy. You do not need to start over, just need to do a few more steps. You are replacing the EA mesh with your mesh, so LOD0, LOD1, and LOD2 must be updated with your mesh. If you don't do these steps your mesh, in game, will show the EA mesh. Take a look at my picture in this thread, dated March 31st. Most likely the reason the LOD image looked weird is because you had not added your texture. Have you read the tutorial on DST at the link I gave you? Read that and if you have problems, Ill be here to help. The step you need is step 54. I didn't include pictures for that step but I will now that it appears a lack of pictures there is causing a problem. I would appreciate this so much OM! I think pictures would clear up a lot of confusion, especially the part when you're talking about deleting the shadows in studio and replacing them....? Totally confused with Step 54.

Hey! I have a object that has 2 meshes, and it has two layers(?) each on the mapping step (32+). I can't seem to do the Shift+L on them at the same time. How can I make a new image when I need to scale them down, but I can't since I can't mark them all.. Any way to Drag & Mark or something? I have a object that has 2 meshes, and it has two layers(?)Yes, you have an object with 2 meshes and two textures. I can't seem to do the Shift+L on them at the same time. How can I make a new image when I need to scale them down, but I can't since I can't mark them all..
As in the picture below? I've had that same problem, too. I'm no expert creating UV maps and although I have some successes creating maps with multiple meshes/textures I was not able to do it for this mesh. So, I'm posting a picture with questions and hopefully someone will come along and help. Questions: When there are two meshes/textures what should be the UV map size? How to merge the meshes onto the grid?

If you post the .blend I can show how to do this with pictures Is the question how to get both of these items onto a single image map (so they both use the same one and the .package has only a single texture)? Hmm...maybe post the .package too so I can see what end result is wanted.

Two meshes & two textures. ....and how to use the "shift" plus the "L' keys to highlight the entire mesh instead of just a portion of the mesh, as illustrated in my 1st picture. I've added notes to the bottom of the tutorial showing how to select vertices when mapping given various scenarios. If this doesn't answer the selection question let me know. I'm getting pictures together for the other questions too

Yes, the additional notes are very helpful and should be useful for simpslex, too. Thanks OM!

I'm new to this, so sorry for a kinda dumb question.. But in step 31, where do I find the width and height for the EA item? I've done some TS2-TS4 converting, but I used a different tutorial with not nearly as many steps as this, and I always got it wrong with that. Luckily your tutorials are always so helpful and explain everything!
