Hello. I'm not quite new to this forum. In fact, I've been here for a while, but haven't commented at all. So anyways, I have a mod that's completely outdated, like 2015 outdated, and I wanted to update it, fix, batch, patch, or whatever, in order for it to work. What specifically do I need to do in order to fix it correctly? I believe there's a topic about something like this, but I usually not on this site all the time, so I need to look around on this site a bit more, but some help would be appreciated. Thanks!

That all depends on what type of mod it is. Can you give a little more detail, screenshots, and possibly .packages? That way we can help in the most direct way.

Sorry for late reply... x3 Anyways, I downloaded a mod from ModTheSims, where the child doesn't get deleted if his/her parents have passed on. I was going to update it but decided against it, so now, I want to make one myself, where the child stays in the household even after the parents death, or just without an older sim, nor a nanny. I now just want to know where to start in order to make it. Thanks. (hope this is understandable though. x3)

No need to apologize Take a look at some of the basic tuning tutorials and compare how the existing mod is set up. It is probably still functioning but references have been deleted, changed, moved, etc. Does the mod have a separate .zip or .ts4script file? If so, that is python scripting that will most likely have the same issue. Can you link to the mod so we can see the mod you are referring to?

Sure, I'll continue to look at the tuning tutorials. Here is the link to the mod: www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=545436Like I said, I wanted to update it but decided against it because I didn't ask yet (the owner hasn't been on in a while, and I don't think he mods anymore). So maybe I could make my own, or just update the one in the link. What do you suggest? And still, I'll look at the tutorials. I seem to not get some of the tuning methods, so I will continue to look at them.

As stated on the mod page: It's last update was over 1 1/2 years ago. I did see that the creator updated a couple of their other mods back in January of this year and was last online on February 1. Like I said earlier, it probably still functions but doesn't point to the right resources. I would suggest if you are going to take on a project like this, you will need to gain a strong understanding of the coding structures. I am by no means an expert at tuning myself so I can only give suggestions at this point.
At any rate, I would also suggest asking first as I didn't see any type of TOU.

All right then, thanks for the suggestions. I do know how to code a little bit, but stuff like this I need to learn. x3 Thanks though.
