hi y'all! i'm pretty new and having some issues with editing mesh and finally thought i had this down but then i ran into this issue.
i wanted to create a cropped version of an EA hoodie, and had some problems with combining the meshes. first, i would end up with a sleeve chunk i'd deleted showing up even though i got rid of the vertices when i edited that in blender. then i had an issue where a chunk would be missing when it was still there in blender. i finally was able to edit the mesh, and then appended the original with another mesh, so i could get the arms and stomach from that mesh (they weren't visible in the original hoodie mesh, which is why i combined those).
it seemed to work just fine and looked good in sims 4 studio, but when i test it in game, these lines (that might be seams according to the faq) show up? i'm pretty new to editing mesh (i literally just started this past week) so i have no idea what could be causing this.
it looks like a shadow of the original hoodie mesh, i think? i looked into the faq here and i found the section on "getting rid of the seam line", and it looks like this could be that problem, but i tried removing doubles and it didn't change or fix anything. is there something else that could be causing this or another way to fix this? if there's something in the process that i did wrong i'm willing to start over again.
this is what it looks like in blender and sims 4 studio if that helps!
i'm sorry in advance if this is an easy fix or if i just did something wrong early on or i don't know some fundamental stuff that caused this. like i said i'm very new to this and keep giving up on mesh edits but i thought i'd finally ask for help and was hoping to understand why this is happening so going forward i don't make these mistakes.
thanks !
