EVEN MORE EXCITING.... im remaking all my old hairs!!!!!!!!!!!!! starting with the one that definitely looked THE worst, mai! don't worry, if you like the insane puffiness and shiny texture of the original, it's still up for download. so please enjoy!!! i'm still learning but this is definitely a huge improvement from the original imo!

i was dying for an upright version of this snowy escape window. it looks identical to certain windows you see irl!!! i'm not sure if this is BGC or not! so i advise you to only download if you have snowy escape installed! thanks & enjoy!!! WARNING: this window has a bug where you can't place it on a half tile without bb.moveobjects on, so plz make sure to use it so it functions properly!

Hi, i think that is not a texture problem. That is the bang area of the old hair mesh still showing, I think it's related to the cut number. If you export the mesh from your package, it still export as the old hair mesh.
Edit: The normal hair should have cut number 0002, you could take the complete hair mesh, change the cut number to 0002, delete the other hair mesh, duplicate the cut 0002 hair mesh 2 times and change the cut number to corresponding hat chop.
wow! i really feel so dumb haha im not sure how i got those messed up but i fixed them now. thank you so so much for your help! >_<

hey all, haven't made cc in a LOOONG time, wanted to get back into it and finally ventured into hairs again. i've converted a mesh and i've got most things working aside from the texture. i tried updating uv_1 and uv_0 multiple times following a couple tutorials but i'm pretty much stumped now. below is my problem as well as my .blend .package, and texture files. (ignore the fact that i haven't done the colors or hat chops yet plz lol im trying to figure this out before going any further!) thanks for any help!!!!!!!

Hi Flowey, I looked at your package and I think I see your issue. Two of your groups were not changed over to Geom, they were set to none and the cut numbers weren't properly set. Also you were missing the correct uv names like uv_0 and uv_1 for each group. The UV maps still need to be updated to fit correctly. Here's the new .blend and .package files OMG thank you sooo much!! You're the best. I'll be sure to update the UV maps!!

GEOM is for CAS. What item are you working with? If you're working with objects it will say NONE instead of GEOM. Post more about your project and look at the object tutorials here. I'm working with hair, so it needs to be GEOM. I'm pretty much stumped. I don't even know what to do...

Under "Scene" is where you will find the areas to edit the geometry and cut numbers. Oh, I know that is where they are, but if I put it a GEOM, it doesn't work because my mesh does not have a "GEOM" part. Will it work if I rename "001" to "GEOM.004"?

Thank you for your response and help. I did not clone a S4 hair and edit it, I created an entirely new mesh. Also, I did not assign cut numbers or weights, as I don't know how to do that... I think that is my problem. I'll have to search how to do that (since I cannot find it in the tutorial ) From experience, if the cut number is wrong or not assigned, S4S will not allow it to import Do you know what to do if my mesh's type is not GEOM? I can't seem to figure out what to do, because besides the type (which is set at "NONE" and not "GEOM") I'm all good, I believe.
