Im trying to put a weapon accessory on the back of the sim instead of in their hand. i assigned the bone to the weapon on the spine and made sure the one to the index finger was removed but in the game it floats beside the sim as though its still only registering that it's connected to the hand in some way. Blender file package file also its avail on mod the sims the original file. |

it does seem like my object is turning red when i "assign" the bone?

Hi! There aren't any bones in your blend, and there's an extra UV that you should be deleting (uv_1) Please follow this accessory GUIDE on how to properly add the weight to your item.  |

so i got it lol i guess this means i skipped something simple because im not sure how i fixed it but it is working so the tutorial is fine , user error. im off to discover what i did wrong lol, prolly the "assigning" thing i was not in "solid" mode

i have another weapon to try so start to finish im gonna try to do this without error lol. thanks again for seeing the first file, i sorta moved myself along but id have not though to delete the uv mesh if not by accident lol that was just dumb luck on my part.

so im trying to do another one start to finish and the issue with it not "assigning" is again a problem. I don't know what i did last time to make it assign properly i just went to solid instead of texture and it was red but im in solid and it won't go red. it's parented to the spine, has one uv map and essentially im not seeing a difference when i compare the one that works and this one.  |

i got it , apparently settings doesnt save the "show weights" wasnt ticked. lmao appreciate letting me use the forum to answer my own damn questions i guess its easier to see the problem when i lay it out this way im not trying to ask silly questions i just get confused with this thing still.
