Hi. If you watched
this tutorial, please forget everything the author said and find another one, watch it from start to finish. There are a lot of mistakes in this one
Look for a tutorial where you are not told to download Blender 2.7. Always use maxis meshes as a guide for how things should be done. If the author says something that goes against how a maxis mesh is made ( "do not delete the body's uvs", "vertex paint with 00ff04", etc ), they are wrong and you should find a different tutorial bc they are most likely wrong about many other things.
1). Do not join the body with the garment until you'll make the latter fully functional. The weights in the finger area and at the bottom of the skirt will not transfer right;
2). Your mesh is very high-poly. Maxis meshes do not go above 10k and neither should yours unless absolutely necessary, which is not the case here. Also, before creating a high-poly mesh for the bake, make sure to smooth the avatar in MD to prevent it from conforming to low-poly body underneath;
3). Do not use Remesh tool in MD, it only makes it worse;
4). All parts of the body covered by clothing should be deleted. The uvs of the garment should be placed in the space where the uvs of the deleted body parts were;
5). Choose a reference that is the closest to yours in length. You dress is too short to be affected by skirt bones. The problem you're seeing in CAS is caused by skirt bones and the next step
6). By importing a dress that is affected by skirt bones in the package started from a lingerie set, you are introducing new bones. The game does not like it and you should never do that. Always clone what looks ans is meant to function as what you've made. You dress should not have skirt bones at all;
7). Look at a normal map of any CAS item, it will be grey. The original normal map must be converted to the appropriate for ts4
this way ( at the end)8). Dresses should be vertex painted with 2 colors
Vertex paint dictates what variation (skin-tight and robe-like) of deformation maps the painted area will deform according to in CAS during body customization and animation.
00FF00 is for skint-tight areas, 3FFF00 is for any skirt-like area ( skirts, bottom parts of dresses, coats, aprons, etc).
Start by choosing 00FF00 and Paint - Set vertex color
1). Disable Limit selection to visible;
2). Holding Ctrl, lasso-select the bottom part of the mesh starting somewhere in the middle of the pelvic bone;
3). Enable sync;
4). Press B and deselect legs;
5). Switch to Vertex paint and enable Face selection masking for painting;
6). Type in 3FFF00;
7). Paint - Set vertex colors;
8). Press A twice to deselect and select everything again, Paint - Smooth vertex colors
