MODERATOR'S EDIT:
If S4S prompts you to download Blender 2.7 with "The Sims 4 Studio requires Blender 2.70 to be installed, but it seems that you are using 3.3.1. Would you like to download and install version 2.70 now?", you're using the wrong version of Blender:
MODERATOR’S EDIT 2: S4S has been updated to support any Blender 3.3x version, download the latest version of S4SHi. I'm running Blender 3.3 at the moment but this error shows up in Blender 2.76b and in Blender 2.78. It happens when I try to enable the Sims4Studio Blender Library. In 3.3, I get this error: Exception in module register(): C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 3.3\3.3\scripts\addons\s4studio\__init__.py Traceback (most recent call last): File "C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender 3.3\3.3\scripts\modules\addon_utils.py", line 369, in enable mod.register() AttributeError: module 's4studio' has no attribute 'register'
In the earlier versions of Blender, the error message is the same but it says "module object has no attribute register" instead. I don't know if this is a Blender problem or a Studio problem but the message seems to indicate it's a Studio problem. On the other hand, it could be something on my end. Others have had this same problem so I thought I'd report it in case someone has an answer. Edit: I'm using S4Studio 3.2.0.2 2nd Edit: After Googling and reading other people's posts on this, I guess you're not supposed to enable the Blender library? I've never enabled it before and have never had a problem with any of my projects so I guess I won't worry about it then. I was under the impression that you couldn't do anything involving animation if the Blender library was not installed. Anyway, for what it's worth...

I just need to confirm this, because the download description says it can now work with the new Blender. But when I try to export a mesh, it says "s4s needs Blender 2.7". The mesh I'm trying to export was certainly made in 2.7 though, because it was released before the new S4S (I am studying food mods). So my main question is does S4S still need Blender 2.7 to export meshes that were made in 2.7?

Hi. S4S studio throws this message about downloading 2.7 when it cannot locate blender. Make sure the blender path in s4s settings leads to blender.exe in the installation folder of Blender 3.3. Then it is best to restart s4s.
The reason it says 2.7 is because, out of all supported versions, this one is the least demanding in terms of computer performance. This way no one will get an idea that they cannot make content because their computer cannot run blender 3.3

I updated my settings to point to Blender 3.3, and I got a popup telling me I have to use 2.7. I'll switch the settings again, but I was under the impression that it should be changed to 3.3. I'm guessing not?

Hi. I dont know what is the point of this addon but it is meant to be disabled. And you are not meant to enable anything yourself, it all should happen automatically. If it is not, it’s a matter of Blender path or location/permission

Hello everyone first of all thank you very much to the creators of s4s for new version ! Older versions of blender seemed rather complicated and intimidating to someone unfamiliar with this program… Thanks! I am having a problem with the new version. When exporting any mesh in the new update of s4s, I get notification that the program only supports blender 2.7. I have connected the blender path from the settings to the blender 3.3 location, but I still have the same problem.

I really don't know why the Studio addon doesn't show up in Blender's preferences but I've been installing and re-installing Blender 3.3 and Blender 2.76 because I was having other issues (turns out I had the wrong .NET framework installed) and each time the Studio addon was never in my Blender addons folder. Each time I had to go into Studio's install folder, copy what's in Sims4Studio\Blender\scripts and paste it into Blender's addon folder. Only then would Studio show up in Blender preferences. I'm sure it's a problem on my end. And yeah, after Googling for hours it seems the blender library addon shouldn't be enabled. I thought it was needed for animations but I never bother with animations anyway so who cares? Lol.

I did what you said but I still have the same problem. I also close the application and restart the computer and it's still the same.

hello ! i've read about this issue but nothing is working for me unfortunately, i'm using S4S star which should be compatible with blender 3.3, i'm using 3.3.1, my blender path goes straight to the exe in blender 3.3's folder, and i'm still getting the blender 2.7 download popup when trying to export mesh, any other things i can try?

I am having the same problem. Even though I match the s4s blender path with blender 3.3 from the settings, it gives an error.

I am having the same problem. I have updated the blender path to point to blender.exe and restarted the program, made a new package and tried to export a fresh base game mesh. The error message says that s4s requires 2.7 and points me to install it. Screenshots:
