Do you happen to know how to control the pulsing of the glow effect? It's not particularly noticeable (if at all) on the default vamp eyes, but on all the ones I'm making it's really obvious.I found the answer here. The frequency of the pulsing is dealt with in the alpha channel. Black = constant full brightness; white = fast pulsing from no brightness to full brightness; shades of grey = varying speeds I suppose.

I would not mind but I first want to be able to know what im doing completly. I am still having some various issues. When I tried to make several recolors, seperate individual ones, they are replacing default eyes when I am absolutely not creating them to be default replacements and some of them simply refuse to show up properly I don't do anything different with them so its so aggravating lol

im super at a loss so if anyone could look at my packages and see what it is im doing that is making these things conflict with the defaults. The green recolor shows up on a default blue. the red default shows up as the purple and i cant get the brown recolor to show up as brown it shows up as purple. The pink one has a texture issue im aware of . On the upside i figured out how to get them to register for humans finally. You'll prolly have to dl all of them in order to see the conflict , sorry i didnt zip it i was in a hurry DX www.dropbox.com/sh/hzritz2dv0y7n06/AABpAXw2VF9cllSx17MbNkcIa?dl=0

I had this issue with my green vampire eyes recolor. What I did to fix it is clone again and import the textures again. I'm sure if It was something I did, or if Studio got confused. But doing the process again. How are you cloning?
I'm doing it by "Add a new CAS part" as the tutorial OM wrote.

yea im doing the add a new cas part as well,it wont show up any other way. i make a new file every time not a copy but i am reusing the same emission and diffuse layer just renamed but i usually do that with templates its never caused an issue before. Its quite odd cause some work just fine and dont over ride anything at all but then others do. It says its false under the default area in warehouse. I try not to mess with warehouse tab unless i have to. The file names are not the same.

Hi sammoyke, this isn't from anything you're doing wrong. We just found out a day or two ago that Harmony is making the first swatch of an add CAS part swatch clone into an override of the original eye that was cloned. This will be fixed in the next version which, hopefully, will be out this weekend. I really apologize for the PIA.

I am sooo happy its not something I was missing. Program issues happen constantly I am not worried about it at all , i know you guys will fix it when you can. Thank you guys for being so helpful and working with me on this .
As far as clothes go, I want to say the first time I saw a tutorial for emission and glowing cas items it was with a shirt so all of the basic principle should apply to any cas item involving emission. Someone else can confirm or elaborate further that understands more about the how and why the emission works.** edit to add when i was originally working on the emission, it was grainy and fuzzy because i was editing the emission's alpha layer which I should NOT have done. In order for the emission layer to glow bright the emission has to be dark if you want it to not glow the emission has to be light. I say dark and light because if u want the emission to have color you have to use the color. For example the sharingan the emission is dark red then the toma's thats the black swirls are solid white so no light shines through the tomas and only shines through the red. the glow is very red because the emission is red, if the emission is grey the glow will be white/grey and you won't see the color of the eye in the dark and it will be a muted version of the color in regular lighting. Both the diffuse layer and the emission layer have to be the same color basically. Details can be preserved if you use a channel colored version of the diffuse layer but you may have to edit some areas to be darker or lighter on the emission to get the effect you're looking for. It required a lot of back and forth between studio and game since u have to be in game to see it work .

Then added my own red Vampire eye texture imported as dds. My custom eye icon show in the eyecolor section but it's not showing my red vampire eye behind it. It's showing the green cloned eye. Are you editing only the diffuse? EA has controls the color via emission map. So you need also to recolor that.

It happened once to me, but when I recloned the issue was gone. However they will fix this in a upcoming version of Studio, so don't worry. The vampire eyes came out wonderfully! I really like the finished result. EA should have included ones with this effect. Good work @wj Where are you going to share them?

I do really like them, but If you don't want to share it and you did it for yourself it's fine.

If any of you guys could send me some red glowing eyes (but without the black sclera) I would really appreciate it! I want them so freaking much lol Also If they can be restrincted to vampires it'd be perfect! I don't get why EA didn't add them to the pack, Red eyes are like vampire's basics

I don't get why EA didn't add them to the pack, Red eyes are like vampire's basics I recently made some glowing/flashing Vampire Eyes as showing in my video on previous page but since there is a probem that the eyes will also override the originals I will not share them yet (to prevent complaints ) The latest S4S update said it would fix that problem but did not. So if you want my red ones you'll have to wait until I can update/fix them;) Sure, I will love to! Thank you very much :D

Haha I totally feel you on this. I spent a long time yesterday figuring out the emission map. That is the responsable of the glow color in the Vampire eyes. Make sure you save it with a fully black alpha and in .dds form. That map doesn't seem to work in .png. Untraditionalnerd has a tutorial about the emission HERE. There explains how the alpha works and what it does. Since this is a permanent effect, you need a fully black alpha. Also, since this uses the emission map, you need to make a clone for Teens to Elder, but another one for Kids, and another one for toddlers. You can just tick the tags for it. That's why they are separated in the list to clone. Otherwise, adult eyes will be floating above kids or toddlers face. See this: And, also number 2. Make sure you clone just one vampire eye swatch and not all of them. If you do so, Studio will only pull one emission for all of them, but they have different ones. So if you add a new swatch with a different style you can't make them work in the same .package. Also Math I looove your green ones, could you make a red version of them?? they are awesome! :D

Hello, does anyone of you maybe know how I stop the vampire eyes from glowing entirely? Especially the cat eye, the glow or whatever overlay it is makes it look really bad if the cat eye isn't exactly the way the original is...
