hi! i don't really understand the question. "exporting uv map" only export an image so that you can open it on your image editor program... What is the issue exactly you're having? Please be more specific, post pictures or the files you are having problems with.

Again, that option only exports an image file. Does nothing to your actual uvmap. Please share the .blend file.

I'm sorry. i do not understand what's the issue you're having. The dress is mapped. What i do see is a lot of unnecessary groups, an extra rig and overlapped parts of the body under the dress. I suggest you clone a simple short dress, export it and accommodate your mesh to their respective amount of groups and cut numbers.

I tried to import the mesh into blender and re-import it into s4s without modification and so it works ok, I just tried to remove the sleeve without adding other mesh and gives me the same error

I'm assuming your error is due to the fact that you have so many unnecessary empty groups like i've mentioned before. This is what i already suggested you:
"I suggest you clone a simple short dress, export it and accommodate your mesh to their respective amount of groups and cut numbers."

If you're just starting, i would highly recommend checking the tutorials section on the forum. There's plenty of information for you to read. Very helpful!. You can read about cut numbers here, step 11.

Think of it less like a doll and more like a shell. You just need the outside parts. There's no use putting uv's on the inside because no one will see them. Ex. With a seashell, the actual shell goes all the way from tip to tip but when you're doing a mesh, you only need the parts you can see with clothes, they need to be attached to the body part so they are 'one object' and you only have outside faces. Also, like a lump of clay. Looks like something on the outside, but inside it's completely solid.
