I have a question about slotting behavior "0" (will not sit on a surface). I had a request to try to fix my Counter OMSP to accept countertop appliances like the coffee maker and microwave. I've looked at those items, and they ones I've opened so far all have slotting behavior "0." BUT they will sit on the countertop. I tried adding a "0" value slot to the OMSP, but that didn't seem to do anything. I suppose I could make default overrides of the appliances with a different slotting behavior (which does work in game), but I'd like to make the OMSP work with them as-is if possible. Any suggestions would be much appreciated

Hi padawanxoli. I don't make eyes, but I can tell you what I do with my object textures that might help. If I want to make multiple colors of a texture, I do the following: Make a medium-grey base by selecting Image - Adjustments - Black and White Then Image - Adjustments - Hue/Saturation - adjust Lightness until I get the right tone Next, I make a new layer and fill it with my desired color. Then change the layer blending mode to "Overlay." From there, you can adjust your color saturation until it looks the way you want it. I'm actually going to write a mini-tutorial on how to do this in the next few days. For gradient eyes, I'm not sure exactly what you mean by that. Here is some info from adobe on using gradient fill - helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/gradients.html

So pretty! I would LOVE to use these patterns on some recolors of my own in the future. Would that be okay if I credit you and link to your tumblr? Totally cool if it's not okay - I looked for your Terms of Use and didn't see anything, so I had to ask <3 kat

Feel free to recolor my conversions I would appreciate a link back (mainly because I would like to snag your recolors, too!), and please give credit for the mesh to the original creator.

Thanks for the reply, orangemittens! The darkening was happening for me with unaltered EA beds as well. I also made a separated mattress of my own and kept the frame group by removing everything except for a flat plane under the mattress. Then I shrank that a bit so that it wouldn't be visible from the sides. I still had the same darkening effect as annachibi's version.
So, it's the work around unless someone else sees this and comes up with another solution :D

Hallelujah - I fixed it!!! (sort of - a work-around, really). The darkening was happening when the footprint of the bed and the blanket neared or touched each other (the closer and more overlap between the two, the darker the blanket got). I temporarily solved it by moving the blanket meshes WAY off the center point in Blender. Now the footprint is a ways to the side of the actual object, and the color shows true. This is not ideal, as I can see conflicts arising with pathing, placement of other objects etc. Any other thoughts on how to solve would be appreciated :D

Hmmmm... this was the separated mattress from an EA bed that annachibi made. And then I resized it a bit to fit the bedframe. I wonder if there is something about separating it that causes the shadow? (that doesn't really make sense though).
Well, thanks for looking at it! Back to the drawing board...
EDITED TO ADD -
J - I went back in game and tried the blanket on EA beds. I'm still getting the same color change. They are definitely darker when placed over even EA beds. HOWEVER, they lighten back up when I raise them using bb.moveobjects. So, I wonder if there is some way I can raise the footprint of the object withing blender... that might solve the issue

I'm using MOO to place a blanket on a bed. The blanket is pink (the way it is supposed to be) when not near the bed, but it turns darker when it is placed on the bed. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks

Hey - I'm having trouble creating a custom catalog thumbnail. I followed the instructions above and created a 104x148 png (and a 148x104 just to make sure), but i'm consistently getting an error message. Help? (this is for an object, not CAS, btw)
