Hi guys! I have a couple of little things to share if anyone would like them. First, a round, draped table that sits four-six. Draped Table
Next, a four-seater with a kind of Asiany feel. Land Across The Sea dining TableAnd, two vases, although I'm thinking of updating these with some flowers or branches. SolidAndGlassVasesThey all have different swatches not pictured. Happy Valentine's Day! <3

Yes, exactly. This is what I was doing, but they still looked way different and you could see an instant shift in appearance from one second to the next while zooming. I am sure you're right in that I maybe needed to play with the specular, but I deleted them although now I'm feeling kind of bad and think I should have spent a bit more time with them. :( Oh well, live and learn. I can't say it enough: THANK YOU for all the help you generously provide to those of us needing it. <3

I really am using the same mesh. Kind of. I have my main mesh which I use for my main LODS, then I have the same mesh which I have deleted the shadow from and joined it into one because it consists of two parts, after which I change the cut number to my original shadow cut number, 0. I use that one for my Shadow LODs and this is what I get: One is zoomed in, the other, out.

Hi Inabadromance! Sorry. I actually deleted / scrapped it after I tried to get fancy and go into my compositing screen and adding a texture and shading to it - haha! I think I messed it up and didn't want to fool around with it anymore so I 86'd it, BUT I was able to recover an old version I think. Chair which I may actually keep. Finally, I know I should probably open a new thread, but if you'd allow me to pick your brain (further) for a second ... I am finding that a few objects "change" when zooming in or out in game. Not just my objects but other creator objects as well. For example, I place a set of curtains and they look good, but I start to zoom out or move away from the object and it changes slightly as if it is the same curtain, just 'different'. To test it out, on my objects I have made certain that I am using the exact same mesh. I have a tendency of making tweaks then saving different meshes for the same item or for lower LODs, but I am using the same one on these items that I speak of, and it is still happening. do you have any idea what it may be? I have already looked through this Thread, but again, I am certain I am using the same mesh. (I will go try again just to be 100%).

You have to edit this two things on all your items, so if you start from scratch, you'll have to edit them either way Oh, no, no. After many fails, I have learned better. I now keep all my textures nice and tidy for a situation just like this one in which all I have to do is delete the swatches and then re-drop the textures one by one. Hehe. No more tears! And, you are a genius, because it worked like a charm. I recall I had to use the same tutorial for something else but now I can't remember what. This time though it will stick! Thank you, thank you, thank you. If you don't mind and have a minute though, I do have one more question just for future reference. I only imported the bump map because I could not find a specular listed. It fixed the issue, but I am wondering if I should have seen a specular line in my warehouse tab too, and if so, where?

Thank you! I will try that. I'm not too in love with them so scrapping them won't be too difficult, but if they are easy enough to save and I learn something new, then woohoo! Thanks again and will post how it goes.

512x512. I normally use only 512x512 or 1024x1024. Also, I just cloned another chair and appended my mesh to it as a .blend and then as an .obj and I got a DIFFERENT 'thing'. Lol. It looks like the top of the new chair I cloned: This may be another one for the scrap pile. These are the chairs I used

Hello. Yet another issue. /sigh I have been working on these chairs for a couple of hours, got them into game, and ... there is a shadow-like thing on them. If I were to guess, I would say it is part of the chair I cloned them from (one of the Princess Cordelia's EA game chairs), but I cannot see where any part of the old chair remains as I have even deleted the old map from blender. I also went in and gave them a leather cloth option hoping it would mask whatever defect, and nothing. Also, it is noticeable more depending on the angle they are set at which made me think it was a shadow issue, so I removed the map from my shadow file as well. It is boggling my brain and I can't readily figure it out. Everything looks good in S4S as well, so I have no clue. Actually, I guess you can see a hint of a shadow in S4S where the defect is, if you really look. In any case, I'm lost on this one and would appreciate it if anyone knows what the issue might be. ----------------------------- Edit. After breakfast I might just use another clone and will see what happens. Will report back.

Hi all! I hope everyone is well and creating away. I have a couple of issues with glass which I am hoping to get some help with if possible. I tried to create the wonderful 2016 Medusa Crystal Vase by Versace and I'm not sure what I am doing wrong with it, but for one, I can't get the logo to appear bright enough. (You can barely see it). I went from little opacity to no opacity on it in my texture, and it still is barely noticeable. THEN ... the vase kind of disappears on and off sometimes when rotating the view or depending on the glass-top table: On this one you can actually see parts of the glass top through the vase. (This table actually has both, a non-glass top and a glass top which I thought may be the problem, but the table in the above pictures has only a glass top). Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, thank you Menaceman! I will keep that in mind. I have a lounging/laying woman I am working on for a beauty salon, and she is very - how do I say it? - pixelated? Faced? Edged? Haha. I don't even know the terminology, but you could see a lot of the edges and faces on her so I used the Edge split and Smooth, and while it helped a little she doesn't look quite right. She also has 'seams' on her legs which I may cover up with tattoos . I will try also to recalculate normals on her now and see if that helps.

indiaskapie Thank you SO much for your kind words. It is always so nice to hear anything positive. <3 <3 <3. I have a bunch of things I have now created and thought of sharing, but not sure if there was any interest. I may post some pics a little later. Again though, many thanks for your sweet thoughts! :-*
