Is there also a tutorial that helps with the other textures (besides diffuse?)

Hi! I was hoping to combine a bikini top and a bikini bottom to be a full body outfit. Seems pretty simple - it's not like any fabric overlaps, and I've successfully frankenmeshed more complex items before.
When I just append the bottom to the top (and update the cut number, and join them so it's the same number as the original mesh), the bottom underwear clips through the bikini bottom and when I try to import the mesh into S4S, the entire model's bottom just disappears.
Now when I used the chemise, and appended the bikini top and bottom, and then updated the cut numbers/joined everything, that worked in both S4S and Blender. I ran into trouble trying to fix all the texture maps - everything but the diffuse has given me trouble.
Is there a tutorial that I'm missing that could help give me more direction combining a top and bottom to be a full body outfit? I didn't think it would be so hard. I'm happy to attach any package or blender files but I have so many versions trying to figure this out that it's a mess.

When I try appending the tank to the skirt, the mesh is a mess (https://imgur.com/lS9wf6y) I've successfully frankenmeshed a swimsuit and shorts so I have no idea what's going wrong with this tank and skirt

Hi. Unfold rig, make the bottom selectable. Select it, switch to the texture tab, click on the drop-down list of textures and choose the top one. Hi, what do you mean by unfold rig? I've hunted around in Blender and googled a couple variations of that and I still have no clue what that means...

When I export the mesh of a tank top (I've tried 2 different base game ones), it's shortened in blender/not all there from the first time I even open the blender file. Everything is marked visible, it's like this before I even touch anything else in blender. When I try to append anything else, it turns into even more of a mess. Any ideas? I'm trying to learn how to make objects base game compatible. I appended this Tiny Living sweater to the base game white bra. I did change the type/cut to match (so the mesh would even import into S4S). It looked fine in S4S, but when I opened it in game, there was this shiny shadow where the bra was supposed to be. I went back into blender, appended again, and really just deleted all of the bra. I had to also remove the (empty) layer in blender to even get the mesh back into S4S. At this point, there should be nothing to do with the bra. But it looks the same in CAS (I'll attach in-game screenshots). I'm just beginning with mesh edits/blender after getting comfortable with recoloring first. I could be completely off-base with what I'm doing here but from the tutorials I read online, it shouldn't be this difficult? Maybe I'm making it more complicated than I should, but I'm not sure how to get rid of this shiny bra shadow. OR if there's a better way to make things bgc. I'm more concerned about this as I move onto harder meshing projects, but still want to learn the process. I'll attach the package file and the blender file. Thank you! <img src="http://

Hi. Most people use a pirated version. I do not think it is reasonable to start your cc making journey from spending a lot of money, there is no tutorial that would teach you everything you need to know and having to look for crumbs can be discouraging. You do not need Marvelous designer at all. You should learn Blender instead, it is free and there are free courses online. You can start by editing maxis meshes, then frankenmeshing. Then watch cources on cloth modifier, sculpting, retopology and dynamics. Everything MD does can be done in any 3d modeling software, MD is just easier to use for this specific purpose. Thank you! If I'm being honest, I did try to pirate it but I couldn't get it to work. I have been working in Blender! MD just looked so great in all of the tutorials that I watched. Thank you for the response!

Now that I've fully figured out recoloring, I was hoping to move onto creating new meshes myself. As I've done more research into clothes in particular, everybody uses Marvelous Designer. But it's $50 a month minimum.
I know all the CAS creators aren't each paying that every month...how in the world are you getting ahold of this program? Or a cheaper/free equivalent? Photoshop's $20/month is already too much for me but I do that anyway.
I'm on a Mac if it makes a difference.
Any help?

Hi. Some meshes are made of multiple meshgroups to tune each of them differently. For example, your dress should have two meshgroups in the arms area to interact with arm bands, two meshgroups to interact with tall boots ( this is optional), and the rest of the mesh. So your dress should be made of either 3 or 5 meshgroups. In your blend there's 4 and two of them share the same cut number. So what you should do is select s4studio_mesh_1.001, delete the back part of legs that you missed ( disable Limit selection to visible, ignore everything but the orange circle ), then join it with s4studio_mesh_1. Make sure the cut numbers correspond to those of the original meshgroups that will be replaced in the package Thank you SO much! Joining the nude mesh with the dress mesh fixed the arm mess in S4S. Thank you!

This is the first project I've really attempted in blender after spending months learning how to properly recolor with s4s and photoshop. My goal was just to shorten this eco lifestyle dress, and I finally got the shortened part looking correct. In blender, the mesh is divided into three parts which I labeled whole dress, left arm, and right arm. The arms are those odd patches. For some reason, the dress looks whole in blender, but the right arm is invisible in s4s. I've tried a hundred things and I still can't get it to work. I've attached the package file and blender file if it helps. I'm so frustrated and I appreciate any insight. Thanks! www.dropbox.com/sh/sgjbb6eyn4ov1d9/AADHBUrdzQ7TJNjtobcBv6Xla?dl=0

For your "mesh" stop when you say "click the model" literally NOTHING happens. My cursor just looks like a target and I cannot get that mesh that just unexplainedly pops up for you. I've gone back and forth dozens of times making sure my screen matches yours. What is wrong here??
