Well, there was such a mod once, but it's old and outdated now and I don't really know that I'd recommend messing with it. The whole (base game) BFF thing did undergo at least one change -- I know at first, you couldn't change your BFF at all. Then they made it so you could choose a new BFF, though you'd lose the old one, still allowing only one at any given time. As far as I know, that's still the way of things now. The old mod can be found at: modthesims.info/d/539718 if you want to have a look at it. I don't think I would actually recommend trying to use it at this point. (It hasn't been updated since Dec. 2014 and there've been a couple pretty big patches since then.) Definitely make sure to back up any save games and such first, if you do decide to try it at all. At this point, I think the old mod's usefulness may be pretty much limited to being a starting point for anyone who might want to make a newer, up-to-date version.

Well, I actually like the visual identification, in general. Though I do agree that the wrench icons on the swatches are way too big and intrusive.
At first, I too thought there was no reason at all to have the icons on the swatches. BUT . . . then I realized that I do have a few (albeit rare) instances of recolors that add swatches to the existing EA catalog thumbnails. Actually, I kind of prefer that, assuming the recolor is really not a huge departure from the original. That's actually a thing I want to look into and do a bit here -- combine some of these recolors I have so they use the same catalog thumbnail rather than having a bunch of entries for crop tops, with 6 colors on that one and 4 on this one and . . . you get the idea. The catalog is just getting too big and too much to scroll through, and some of these things really don't need separate thumbnail entries.
Anyway, I'm happy to see the AOM mods for this, and I've just DL'ed the one that changes the swatch icons to dots, so I'll give that a try. Sounds like it should be good for me. Thanks again for providing us all with choices to make our game work the way we'd like it to!

Hello, everyone! I've been kind of lurking around and asking the occasional question, so I figured I'd say hello here and make things official. I'm not much of a creator so far. Mostly, I love using CC and I putz around with the tools sometimes to fix CC that I download because a lot of it has various little . . . issues. So I'm really learning and don't have a lot of background in this stuff or anything. But who knows? I'm getting more used to S4S and it seems a really versatile tool, so maybe once I learn more I'll try making something myself. Thanks to all the S4S team for taking the time to make this great tool and share it with us! (And teach us how to use it -- folks here seem really helpful, which is greatly appreciated!)

I usually go with 'grey' but as far as I know, either 'grey' or 'gray' are technically correct. (Depends on the dictionary you use, perhaps, but I'm pretty sure mine listed both, one as an alternate spelling.)

Hey, I know the slot thing is the 'big deal' for most, but I just wanted to say thanks for the batch fix to remove custom thumbnails from CC. I know that some folks take extra time to make those, and it makes me feel a little bad, but honestly, I find they often don't give me a good representation of the item. So I'll be happy to get those all back to standard game-generated thumbnails. Thank you!
