Edit: The tutorial was kind of vague and hyper specific to already made clothing. I fiddled around with it for a while and actually figured out how the mask corresponds with the overlay since I was "converting" an eyeshadow, and had to use lipstick as a base so I could have the RLES images (since Im not sure how to add them myself)
But this is considered fix! (:

So, I was reading the RLES Specular map tutorial and although I didn't see it for makeup, I decided to try it anyways. The results I got were interesting but not what I was hoping for. The lid has a harsh shine on it that seems to not move much, and there are these crunchy almost pixelated piece around the eyes that ARE actually reflective and responsive when rotating. Could someone take a look at my package file and perhaps tell me where these crunchy textures would be coming from? I see them on my RLES image but both of them they aren't present, on the alphas or other channels My package file is here: www.dropbox.com/s/4s0qn6v2ogqqh3j/colonydrone-wetmakeuptestrun.package?dl=1

Making converted objects functional is totally doable.
I've only ever converted objects from The Sims 2 but since the cut numbers have to remain the same as the original TS4 cloned object, I've always just imported the obj file, and merge.
Then adjust UVs, the footprint and slots accordingly.

Hi! Can you elaborate on "more elements in the category"?

This is the top Jasmine Holiday is wearing for the 3x Skills/Career boost promotional event thingy. Haha I was gonna say "man idk dude but I'm totally digging that jacket" hahaha (On a side note, I had a load error and uninstalled my game, and S4S, and re-installation which fixed the DLC erorr ) ♥

In short: Tuning. For example, Graycurse's Grocery Mod. He took objects, and made them functional. I personally can't help you, I'm not very savvy at tunning but there are some tutorials on here. It's similar to HTML, you just have to figure out what you're reading. You could always practice by tinkering with the tuning on pre-existing objects.

Perhaps it's just me but the more you recycle a DDS file, the more noisey it gets. I like to save a PSD of the texture with separate layers, and once done editing, save it as a DDS- Opposed to using the same DDS file over and over again.
Im also not sure is S4S has a fail safe to deter DDS files with a specific compression but all textures/alphas/bumps should be shaved as a DTX5. I know some people use JPG and PNGs but the quality of the image really depends on how it is compressed, and DTX5 is the highest and includes an alpha.

Typically when body parts are invisible/missing, or pieces of the mesh are still showing up in S4S despite being removed in blender is because of cut numbers.
EX: You clone a dress, it has 4 mesh groups, and the cut numbers are 01, 02, 03, and 04. These mesh groups' cut numbers would need to remain the same, regardless of how you plan to edit the mesh.
If you post your package file, it would be easier to help. But just as common knowledge, a lot of meshes imported from other games (like IMVU/Tera/Left4Dead) or any other "from scratch" mesh need a lot of work to work properly in S4S and The Sims 4.
I can see from the photos provided that the UV hasn't been completed, the dress's may be but you're going to need properly make your uv_1 and uv_0.

Maybe the folder in your documents didn't properly got deleted upon de-installation? Try renaming it by adding a number, and re opening s4s so it can re-fresh the information again. Hm, I tried that, I also deleted the entire sims4studio folder in documents after uninstalling, then re-inistalling. My game paths all seem to be correct, so I really can't imagine what the problem would be

I uninstalled S4S a couple weeks back, and reinstalled it again today. I have two issues: 1) None of the content for my expansions/dlc is showing up 2) there's a weird arrow on some clothing? I tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no luck for either issue

I've had a few hairs like this. Where the hair you have selected is blonde, you select another hair and it changes to brown, or some other color?
You could ask the creator, It could have something to do with the initial creation in S4S, maybe they didn't select all the colors when cloning the original hair, and later added swatches using the the hair hex codes as well as with the textures. I wouldn't call it a "glitch" though.

I'm trying to create a custom shower for my sims 4 game, and when I'm resizing the shower I do the same thing like resizing the painting, but when I go to put the Shadow LOD 0 High the shower image won't resize. What am I doing wrong? Please help Hi there, I see that you're new. Welcome! If you need help with creating something, it would be best to create your own individual post in the Creator Help section so everyone can see it, and help you
