I see that you will have an issue ingame aside from the sleeves. With this set up the way you have it there is nothing underneath to show that it is transparent. For example in orangemittens's tutorial HERE she uses another top underneath. With yours there wont be anything underneath unless you add it. The skin in the tool has a bra on so you can see it but ingame it does not. As for the sleeves, I can say that the mesh mapping has the sleeves no where near where they should be (see THIS thread). At this point in order to have your sleeves properly transparent and show the arms underneath, the mesh would need to be modified. This is my opinion and how I would do things. There may be others with a better idea. As a side note: if you look at the collar of your shirt you will see that it is very pixellated/squared. To fix that you will need to modify the alpha channel (see image). The part you want 100% transparent will need to be black. Any shade of grey will be differing shades of transparency. As for your robe, it also has nothing underneath to show that it is transparent.

Paint.net automatically applies the alpha channel to be visible and I'm unsure at this point how to make PS do the same with .dds files. I will do some research and get back to you. Until then do you mind sharing the image you are trying to work on? Also you need to make sure you're saving as dxt5 interpolated alpha.

Maya you don't have to "flatten" the image just merge layers.

Do you mind sharing the package? If I'm not mistaken without looking at it the issue at the chest is most likely the specular image. You can use the blank one provided HERE. The other issues appear to be a mapping issue.

Image Blending How to get your image editor to reveal the "folds" of the clothing through a placed image As far as I have come across, what you will want to do is have the top layer selected and set the layer blending style to "HUE"

Hey Margeh75, when in CAS you need to type in "casclockspeed" then a value less than one. For example 0.1. So the full text you would type would be "casclockspeed 0.1"

Hey MisterS This is the closest I have found. On the armature tab under display click "stick" and you can also check the box next to "names" to display the vertex group's (AKA bones) names. |

I am trying to make these panties, but it seems the only way you can make something transpaprent, is when you put the transparent layer over a garment, so I can make this right?: I want to learn these things, because I make my recolors based off of real clothing, since it is hard to get patterns. Thanks. This can be done with Photoshop, it's just a slightly different workflow. In order to make it work correctly, the part that you want semi-transparent will need to be at a shade of grey on the alpha layer as opposed to completely black. The only reason it would need to be placed on top of another image is for placement purposes.

Yes you can make objects transparent in Blender.
- Select the object you want transparent
- Click the materials tab
- Click the check box "Object Color"
- Click the Object tab
- Check the "Wire" box under Display
- Set the Object's color to a low alpha value (leave the rgb 100%)
TADA!

You also need to edit the alpha channel in greyscale
