esmerelda, are you sure you included the type and cut in the S4S CAS Tools menu for each of the meshes? For glasses each mesh has a different cut that needs to be entered. If the number isn't correct the tool will not be able to replace the correct part.

@ esmerelda - Because of this post I took it upon myself to attempt an S3 glasses conversion. I will say this... not only is it possible it is in fact very easy. Were you using another program to create your glasses, if so which one? Hi, thanks for trying that! I was using Sims 4 Studio and Blender. It must just be my complete lack of experience with Blender that's the problem. I'll give it another try now that I know it's not only possible but very easy. Am looking forward to converting all my TS3 glasses, hopefully with better luck next time!

If the number isn't correct the tool will not be able to replace the correct part. I was pretty sure I did, but I'll try again. As mentioned, this is my first time using Blender (aside from a few simple bakes of object meshes I'd made in Milkshape for TS3) and I find it very confusing and obscure compared with the much more simple Milkshape. But now that I know it IS possible to successfully convert glasses with it, I'll try again and see if I can manage not to mess up next time! (And I do really want to learn to use Blender.)

esmerelda, I made the switch from Milkshape to Blender so I know how it feels. The Blender interface takes some getting used to and can be very non-intuitive at the start. I posted a few links to some video tutorials and some of those are focused just on walking through basic functions that you'll need for meshing and maybe one or two of those would help get started. I'm not a Blender expert by a long shot but if you have questions that I can answer I'm happy to do so. Once S4S is more complete and isn't requiring so much testing/trouble shooting I plan on writing some tutorials that focus on using Blender with S4S also.

Hello, I am up to step I3 (renaming the vertex group). When I hover over it it says to double click to rename but when I double click nothing happens. Is there another way to rename this?

Hello everyone. Probably isn't the right topic, but I hope you can help me the same. I'm editing a mesh, but I have this problem: I am using blender, can you help me? Maybe is a normal problem...

Currently S4S isn't ready to make clothing items which is why we have it set so that it will not clone them. The problem on your mesh could have developed at any point in the process of cloning with one tool, moving it to S4S, and working with it in Blender. Given the mix you have going it's tough to say and I cannot speculate. I'm happy to fully explore any issues related to meshes/recolors cloned by S4S so that this tool can be optimized. Currently it is able to clone accessories and hair and allow the creator to make a brand new mesh rather than simply edit an existing EA accessory or hair. It is not ready to make clothes although we're working on it

You're right, I'm testing, and I take full responsibility But I'm convinced that the problem is related to the "normal", or the "smoothing" ... but I don't know how to use Blender to be able to solve the problem. Ps: Sorry for my english

Thank you for the encouraging words re switching from Milkshape to Blender! I don't want to switch per se, but would love to be able to feel conversant with both. Also, am pleased to see that there was an update to S4S re fixing cloned item breaking the EA original - am hoping that will fix one of the two problems I'm having with making glasses as glasses rather than accessories, that it left the original glasses I cloned it from unusable. Thanks again for your and all the team's work in making this great tool, and I look forward to your new tutorials too.

esmeralda, what is the second problem you're having with glasses? Also, if you notice anything like that issue with a clone breaking an original your report would be much appreciated. If something is broken in the tool we want to get it fixed as soon as possible.

If something is broken in the tool we want to get it fixed as soon as possible. Hi, I just assumed the original breaking was just me and my own Blender ineptness. The second problem was that of the glasses not showing up in-game at all. I haven't had time to try again but am now about to give it another try with the latest S4S. Will report back on results!
