dorosimfan1, Your map is much large, it will override the field with other objects. Look sweep EA, you should not go beyond the limits ))

Hello! Im new to sims and meshing and all and I recently sculpted a zbrush hair. I managed to get it into blender and everything was going great and I did everything this tutorial said but for some reason every time I try to import it to s4s it comes up with this error message: "System.AggregateException: One or more errors occurred. ---> System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'C:\Users\Chloe\AppData\Roaming\S4Studio\Scripts\geomexporter.py' because it is being used by another process. at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath) at System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost) at System.IO.FileStream..ctor(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize) at System.IO.File.Create(String path) at S4Studio.Blender.BlenderUtilities.ImportGeom(String custom_blend, String custom_geom, String cut) at S4Studio.MainWindow.<>c__DisplayClass56.<ImportFromBlenderButton_OnClick>b__54() in c:\workspace\thes4studio\TheS4Studio\S4Studio\MainWindow.xaml.cs:line 485 at S4Studio.LoadingScreen.<>c__DisplayClass2.<Show>b__0() in c:\workspace\thes4studio\TheS4Studio\S4Studio\LoadingScreen.xaml.cs:line 38 at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.InnerInvoke() at System.Threading.Tasks.Task.Execute() etc, etc.
Someone please help?
The only thing I think could be happening is that I duplicated the hair I created so I could get 3 different pieces for the 3 different geoms... is that it? Idk... Help!

Hi simstemp, That error seems to be saying that another Blender window may be running in the in the background preventing you from importing. If you could use Ctrl+Alt+Delete and go to the task manager, and make sure that all Blenders are closed, it may fix the problem. Let me know if it works for you

stylishsims, I've never tried making a nose piercing so I cannot give you first hand information on how to accomplish this. The Sim nose does have its own slider so there are, most likely, several joints that govern the nose. My bet is that in order to give your item the best chance of working with the sliders you would want to select the one closest to where your nose ring pierces the Sim's nose and assign your item 100% to that joint.

It just keeps mentioning geomexporter.py

Do you have a Blender process running in the background? This would be found on the Processes tab of your task manager. Sims 4 Studio needs no additional plugin to run and the error you are receiving is reporting that Studio cannot run its script because it's being used by some other process. Also, which version of Sims 4 Studio are you using?

Also, which version of Sims 4 Studio are you using? I'm using the newest version. Thank you, it was running in the background and now I am no longer getting that error, but my hair still doesn't work because when I import the hair it just says loading and never actually finishes loading.. it just keeps trying to load. I know my file size is fairly big (23 mb) in comparison to the original hair which is under 10 mb, is this what's causing my problem? If so is it so big because my polycount is high? If they got sims 3 hairs with much higher polycounts to work then why won't mine?

How many polys is the hair? In testing the tool successfully loaded a hair with 50K polys...does it have more than that?

Okay so I got the polycount to 40k, and it's still not working! Now it keeps telling me in blender that I can't package my file because the .bmp of the obj I'm importing can't be found...

When you receive that error are you clicking Save or Export?

I am clicking save, and this is the error coming up: _ I have not done my UV mapping yet, which I know has to do with the bmp... maybe that is it? I am totally lost on how to uv map though... By the way thank you for all of your help. I have been really stressed out between school and trying to accomplish the task of making this hair and it's been nice having someone there for me to listen and answer my questions quickly!
