Hey there, I am new to the Sims 4 studio. I've had this mod for a couple of mouths now. It's been working fine. Then all of a sudden, my sims are unable to interact with the pets. I can't pick them up or pet them. I Have MC command and each time I try to pick up a pet, I get a Last exception error. Is there an update possibly for the mod?

This mod throws a last exception in my game. I didn't know what mod it was so I used the 50/50 method and it was this one. It's a shame because I liked having some control of my pets. This is with the newest game update on Feb 22nd.

Could you please post your lastException file? thanks. It’s no help at all. Analyzing it revealed that it was moaning about the custom food mod from Mod the Sims. However, when I put that in the game on its own with no other mods there was no exception. I finally loaded the game over and over again using the 50/50 method and eventually it came down to this mod as everything else worked but as soon as I put this back, there was the exception again. I have no idea how to post my whole file but here’s the revelant bit of it: ValueError: TunableReferance is set to a value that is that is not allowed by its class restriction. Plus before that it says InGame\ Gameplay\ Scripts\Core\sims 4\tuning\tunable.py. Near the start it says caught exception loading reference. In any case my file has my full name in it so not posting anyhow. Sorry I can’t be more help figuring out what is causing this.

I have no outdated mods. I put it in on its own plus just MCCC. Latest version. So, if it's conflicting with anything it must be that and I'm not playing without it. Sorry. Anyhow, have a good afternoon. Off out and off line now.

Hi, I just got the cats and dog expansion pack, and I'm trying to download it but it won't work. I'm on a MacBook, is there anyway someone can explain to me how to download it on a Mac please!

Apparently there is a bug with some mods (Including this one) where if you have it in your game, your sims disappear one by one without notice. This is according to XUrbanSimsX on twitter and there is proof because a person replied to her saying this happened to her. Here is the links to the tweets:
I hope the mod gets updated soon, I am not risking it in my game.

I'm assuming this issue has something to do with this mod (unless it's a issue with the actual game pack of Cats and Dogs) since this is the only mod I have that has anything to do with pets but, I can play the game and at random times my pets "die of starvation" (even though their needs including hunger are maxed or at least in the green. Also I can play the game and my pets just.. disappear, not die but just completely disappear from the household.

You sims and pets will disappear randomly over time if you have this mod in!

What I meant was, there must be a conflict between this mod and MCCC. Or the way I have MCCC set up, I mean the options. Sorry but I’m doing this in a foreign language, English, and I was trying to say that, in my game anyhow, this mod has an error because if I load it with MCCC, I get an LE. I only get an LE with this mod loaded. I removed it and everything is fine. The LE I got when extracted, or whatever the word is, said it was the allow custom food mod but it isn’t because I tested it. Evidently, the LE just reports the first interjection mod it finds. The custom food mod works fine and gives no errors on its own but if I load it with nothing else but the selectable pets I get the error. I tried all combinations of mods, and I don’t have that many, and in the end only removing this pets mod got rid of the error. The pets mod, whatever I do with it, gives an error. I wish I could fix it. Evidently it works for some people and not others. That doesn’t make any sense to me. I tried it on its own and it didn’t produce an error because the LE is only generated by the MCCC mod. At least in my game it is. Hello, I spend here because I have the MC center and everything is fine with, I saw the Simsvip.com that a possible incompatibility, I have no problem! But, I discovered a big concern, which will concern a lot of people, dogs, I discovered that with my dog of my family, they do not recognize the objects created with a new mesh. I do not know how far that can go, if a couch, an armchair or something else causes that, I saw that with candles ...
I had installed the Orangemittens candles, which I love, I had them on the floor next to a yoga mat. The dog wanted to go see these candles (go see or sniff) and this caused a reset of the game and of course a LastException.
I put the candles high, off the dog's access now and I have more worries. I have few downloaded objects, so I can not tell you what kind of items are concerned too, I can just confirm it for candles. One thing that can clear up a lot of questions from users here, nice day to all and take good care of yourself. :D

The mod here, works fine, well used of course, sometimes you have to ask the right questions before saying that one mod conflicts with another and do the necessary research, it takes time, it took me days to understand my dog's concern, I found and Mc Center had nothing to do with it.

Exactly, it has nothing to do with the mod here, it is an outside behavior to the good functioning of your mod, I am very astonished, that it is in the list of the incompatible mods, it is well in my game.
I just talked about this concern because I do not know if it spreads further than candles, which is possible. I think it's good to look for reasons for a LastException, too often, it is directly blame a mod without looking further. And as I point out, I have the Mc Center and I have no problem to report between your mod and the MC center together.
