so im trying to alter the ninja mask that came with the game to be more like kakashi's mask . Anyway i more or less got it except that the hair isn't showing up when i use it. Im fairly sure i can remove the shadows , i think but I don't know how to fix it so the hair shows up normal like other head accessories? Any tips would be great.

The easiest suggestion would be clone another head accessory like earrings and import your mesh and textures. or edit the flags, Feyona knows more about that.

i did try to clone the necklace with it and i ended up with texture issues on the hair

there is nothing left over in the mesh that should allow the texture to carry over onto the hair. the texture file is only colored in the face mask area.

i tried doing earings instead of necklace and it just reversed my issue. now hair textures bleed onto the mask accessory

This means that the uv of your mesh is overlapping hair space. regardless of there's parts in your blend or not, once placed on the sim all elements will collide into one single texture map. you'll have to modify both uv and texture to move them elsewhere. please check my reply on this thread: sims4studio.com/thread/8435/accessory-jackets-solved
