let's prioritize things, joining nude with your mesh should be the last step anyway. you should do it when you have everything else done. so just skip this and concentrate on: - moving the uv_0 to the right place. if you're having issues moving the uv, check the links on my first post of this thread: sims4studio.com/thread/8435/accessory-jackets-solved. - weight transfer, which reference mesh did you use? a nude top?. - uv_1 from step 6. your blend doesn't have it done. use same reference mesh from the weight transfer. - vertex paint: sims4studio.com/thread/2479/vertex-paint-sims-4-meshthe order in which you do this isn't really important as long as you do it all. this is how I usually do it: uv_0 mapping (or organizing it), vertex paint, weights in blender 2.70. for uv_1, you need to use another version, 2.77 and above. I used a plain white blouse, I'm not sure what it is called. did I do the uv_1 right this time? drive.google.com/open?id=1GcIzd8qJzk8eQ0zh3J7PjVD0mfSIeMYu

Please share your last blend again, make sure it ends up with .blend and not .blend1 (that's a back up file) As for the backing, please read THIS TUTORIAL. Make sure you're imputing the correct image resolution. EDIT: I took a look at the back up file.. and you're getting there! I'm glad that you managed to find what you were doing differently. Still there's some things that aren't quite right yet. I asked you before but you didn't reply the question. Does the mesh you export from the other game come with their UV or not?. Because what you currently have is very broken, therefore the uv_1 as well. The uv of your mesh and the uv of the neck has also been moved. You should never move body parts' uvs nor go outside the boundaries of each clothing part. So you'll have to re append the body parts to fix this and move back the rest of the clothing to where it should go. (you have the TEXTURE map on one of the links in my last reply. The weights aren't right either. There's random bone names in there that shouldn't be. They probably came with the mesh itself. You should delete ALL bones and follow the weight transfer tutorial again. You select the last bone from the list and click the MINUS button. Keep clicking the minus to delete all bones.

Oh I'm so sorry that I didn't reply to your question. Silly me x.x It did come with a uv, but it seemed to vanish. I'm not sure what happened to it. I shall redo the weights, hopefully right this time XD
Thank you for all this help!

My uv map won't move independently of the other pieces once I've joined the shirt to the nude top. The shirt back uv will drag parts of the sleeve and the shirt front uvs with it. Before I join the shirt witht he nude top I can move them just fine. Any ideas?

Okay, I've redone the entire tutorial and everything looked right. Then I go to place my baked texture into the diffuse and parts of it come out skin color. Okay, maybe not a game breaker I think. So I import the texture that I've done that works with the basic shirt. Still won't line up with the mesh - part of it goes onto the models face. I'm at a loss. Followed the bake tutorial, the original tutorial and the other tutorials that were given to me. I really have no idea what to do anymore.

it's because your uv is placed on the face's uv. you need to fix your palcement and then rebake it. use this template for directions.

can you share a picture of the problem and also the package file? it could be because you're baking it with too large of a margin. try changing the margin from 16 to 4 or 5.

For some reason, Now that I have the texture better the mesh doesn't line up now and shows some of the body. I went into Blender and it really shouldn't. I'm very confused.
