lindz You can create any shape you want to the mesh. This tutorial uses a simple example because is intended for beginners to get a better of understanding of how sims 4 modding works and ALSO with Blender (Which can be a little scary at first).

I am thinking of creating my own bed frame mesh and if I can use this Turual to do it I think I would understand it better.. and learn at the same time.

Hi lindz, this tutorial shows how to make a new CAS item. Objects and CAS items are not made the same way. If what you're interested in is making objects, you should look at the start to finish painting tutorial I wrote instead of this one. That tutorial will teach you the basics of getting started using Blender and making a basic object.package.

Thank you Orangemittens. Honestly, i did not try to make earings, but I opened another mesh on which I was willing to work. So I bypass a few step, to go to selecting, editing part. No success..:( I will continue with ms3d i think.

If you're working with CAS I highly suggest trying to work with Blender. MS is pretty outdated and cannot do some of the things Sims 4 meshes need to work correctly (second UV, vertex paint). This tutorial is written as a start-to-finish so that basic use of Blender can be introduced and that kind of information tends to occur in the beginning steps of it. If you hop in at the middle part, you'll miss the part that shows how to use Blender itself which could make your experience very frustrating.

You speak wisely. Ok. I will give this another try, this time...making earrings. I think more knowledge is better than less, and learning how to use a 3rd meshing program is certainly a good thing. Thank you again.

You're welcome. If you run into any questions let me know. I made the transition from MS to Blender and I know it can be less than intuitive at first. Still, it's easier than learning it all in the first place was, so you're ahead of the game.
