Hi cristian19, to add another image to the painting click the add swatch button. This will add a new swatch that you can recolor differently than the first.  |

thank you for the video tutorial as I havent done any recolouring etc for sims 4, I had completely forgotten how to use photoshop etc but this was very useful in refreshing my memory. |

Hi! I know this thread has been dormant for a while, but I had a quick question about recoloring paintings. I am able to do all of the swatches and it shows up in my game no problem, looks great! My question is; I've changed the descriptive text (ex: "This is a portrait of such-and-such, etc.") to read something different, and while the new painting shows up in game, when I direct my Sims to "view" the painting, the descriptive text that pops up reads as the original text, not my new description. I've double checked the String Tables for the languages and it LOOKS correct. Is there something additional that I need to do to make it work or is this just something unchangeable? As a side note, the description in Build/Buy when I hover over the icon is exactly correct, it's just the "View" interaction that brings up the wrong text.

ETA I just noticed that this popup only seems to be happening with the newer paintings from GT, I used the Lady Mimsy one as the base for my Recolor. Figures I'd choose the only difficult one :(

Hi mortia, welcome to Studio forums. I've taken a look at the Mimsy painting and you can get rid of that pop up by changing the tuning to that of a base game painting. I think in order to change it to say something different you would need to make custom tuning for it.

Unfortunately the picture shows up in freaky neon color and not what it was supposed to be :D

If the painting is showing up neon colored you most likely do not have the correct size image. Each side of the painting needs to be one of these sizes: 128, 256, 512, 1024 and the painting image can to square or rectangular.

 I Love Love this Tutorial I JUST Today downloaded the Sims 4 Studio and Anxious to try this!!!! Thanks so much for this Tutorial...I am a "Noob" W/ Sims 4 I am OLD School and Played The Original with all Expansions for so many years and did some custom content too! I LOVE the SIMS 4!

Ty First of all, good to hear you like The Sims 4 and The Sims 4 Studio to work with! Though you don't have to use the large font size twice, with a normal small font size: 3 (12pt) we can read your message too.  To get Paint.net you need to use this website: www.getpaint.netThen you won't get the painting company Good Luck with it and if you want to learn more, there are very much tutorials to be found both on this website as on my youtube channel. I didnt know about font size being too large. I am a very expressive person and people do take it in a bad way so sorry I will follow this font size from now on and ty for your help just downloaded paint.net with your advice and subbed your youtube channel :P
