This has been one of my most popular downloads on other sites and I'm making it available again here.

I've always wanted to get rid of the flowery ornamentation of the Classical Genius Piano. My previously published recolors were just that, recolors of the existing default texture.
This time around, not only did I double the resolution, but in removing the ornamental trim, I discovered profound errors in the default object's DST files (both its specular and bump map DSTs). The specular map was unnecessarily grainy. The bump map DST, which gives the illusion of ridges and depth, had a shattered-mirror effect if examined at particular lighting angles (see photos) which I can only attribute to someone at EA hand-editing the DST and not realizing the reflective errors they were creating.
The specular map is now double the resolution and not nearly as grainy, and I flattened the bump map DST (not everywhere, just in the worst-affected areas).
Also disappointing about the default object the were the red-green color banding, most noticeable on the default black swatch on the piano's lid and music rack, as well as the overall graininess, which was EA's over-zealous use of dithering and low-resolution textures (back in the day when conservation of computing resources were more important).
I've applied a texture overlay to the seat cushion, a metal overlay to the pedals, and changed out the music sheet. The music sheet comprises such a small area of the object's overall texture that to get it high-resolution would have required either multiple texture maps or a really huge single map.
The overall effect, after having removed the flower images on the ornamental trim and fixing the DST files produces a nice, simple, elegant appearance.

Stand-alone high-resolution marble textures applied to a larger version of the mesh of the Stone Faced Wall Fountain. Light emits a dim to moderate blue glow rather than the default. 8 swatches of 4 repeating colors, 4 light, 4 dark. Flagged as a water producer. Requires Vampires. Note: The light brown texture lights up really brightly in low light, and I've decided to leave it that way.

Get Famous Monolith TV resized to 2x its normal size. 4 recolors added. I wanted a theater-sized television, but nothing was large enough for the basement theater room I had, so I took the Get Famous Monolith TV and resized it 2x its normal size. Someone asked on another web site why not just use the built in [ and ] resize options, and my reply was that those options increase / decrease objects in all 3 dimensions, which would have made this TV thicker as well as wider and higher, which wouldn't have been useful, so this resized TV is no thicker than the original. Cost: 2000 Simoleans Catalog: Electronics (TV Sets, TV) and Venue (Club, Bar, Karaoke) Requires a 3x high ceiling to place.
Note: the chassis size has been increased, but not the video resolution. It's the default. Also wasn't necessary to increase the texture resolution of the chassis. Created using Sims4Studio and Paint.net

Stand-alone texture overhaul of the City Living "Foldy Foldable" dining chair, now without scratches or dents, in 26 new colors. I was making a lunch room for a school and was using the "Foldy Foldable" chair. The color choices were limited, the red swatch was washed out, and then I looked closer and saw all the scratches and dents, and voila, new mod! Cost: 2 Simoleans Catalog: Comfort / Chair (Dining)
